Hi,

replaced the version 3 in my last post with the version 3a, that solves a bug in the exits.

Trading it live now with good prospects. I will post my results at the end of today.

Hi,

excuse me for one more version.

With this new version you can select the timeframe for the HGI indicator depending on the timeframe of the chart where the EA is attached.

I must tell you that for me the best timeframe till now is the 1 min timeframe, but you can experiment with several timeframes.

Could you give a short explanation of the strategy of the EA ?

-How it exits

-How it protects the trades

-Hedging ?

-How does it get it's direction from HGI and why does it not take exits from HGI ?

Etc..

Hi,

I am taking a close look to the trades that the EA takes for now, and I will explain the functioning of the EA later.

But I have seen that the EA does not refresh the HGI indicator properly. I have corrected this bug in this new version.

Good evening,

another important bug solved. PLEASE REPLACE YOUR VERSION WITH THIS ONE.

Tested the 1 min and 5 min timeframe and rejected. Too many swings. Now testing the 15 min timeframe. I like what I see. The grid size and the duration of the HGI trend indicator seems to work in conjuction.

Another posibility will be the 30 min timeframe. It is impossible to use 1H and 4H timeframes with an initial grid size under 15.

Let's see.

Hi José Luis,

I have tested it on 15M over DAX and also good results, today on demo, from Frankfurt open till now 4 ops, all wins.

As the EA haven't options to limit trading ours and so ... could you please add them?

Also could you explain, more or least how it works?

Hi rbetancor,

the EA uses the last HGI Main Signal for determining the direction of the trade. Simply. I think the HGI is the best entry indicator for most EAs.

About the management and exits of the trades, I cannot explain them, under the risk of being banned from this forum

.

Respecting the option of limiting trading hours, I think that every modification must be reasoned, because I am of the opinion that this EA can trade profitably all the days and hours of the week, and has internal mecanisms for limiting high spreads.

Finally, you are using this EA with the DAX successfully. Congratulations. And I have included the trading of the gold with good results. This fact reassures me about the validity of the EA algorithm for managing the trades.
