For the pairs you do and don't want, as I understand it after Rene explained it in a slightly different way :

• MADDY knows the abbreviations for the individual currencies
• MADDY knows the extensions you want excluded
• MADDY goes through the list of everything your broker offers and in the marketwatch turns on everything that has two currencies in the name unless it ends with something in the 'exclude these' list
• When MADDY gets a signal it passes the base name across to MaDTrader which opens trades on everything visible in marketwatch which contains that name

The way I have found works best for me is to create a new profile with no charts open, delete everything except one currency pair from the marketwatch, open a chart for that pair, drop MADDY onto it and set it up with the extensions I want excluded, then when I click OK the marketwatch will populate with everything MaDTrader will trade and it's very easy to see if it's doing what I expect it to or not.

Thanks for the frequent update. I was still using the setup from TFJ (weekly + daily TF) after all these while. Till today TJF ones is still working well, however one must intervene daily to close all open trade at near 16:00 GMT, else it will drift wider. Only open trades from 8:30 GMT onwards and only tue, wed, thur (manual again).
These all aren't going to give daily yield and would need to accept hitting SL defeat during high impact news at times and move on.

Surprisingly, didn't observe much of reversal on Thursday but it gets dizzy on fridays (which i am avoiding)

Only my pleasure Bismarck...Just a note on reversal thursdays..it can also mean retrace days..I look at Eu for example it has retraced and at the moment hovering just above my weekly open. It can mean one of two things we close the week near the weekly open which means we close the week on a Doji candle..indecision can also mean a return back into the trend next week or we move up on friday and close the week with possibly a new high and a weekly full bodied candle..flip side we move back down.

If I look at my trades that were opened yesterday I could very well have closed them all for a handsome profit..However the idea for me now is to let them run and give them space and build nice med term positions..Most of my nice profit from yesterday is depleted.. today being thursday definately has had an impact on me..If all goes well and my trades go into to the direction of the weekly trend I should be Ok.

If you are using TJF setfile, and it is based on the weekly and daily Ma which is still in a longterm downtrend on Eu you are most likely taking only shorts for eu which means you would do well today...just using this as an example..

These are just probabilities nevertheless and if a trading pair really starts trending it will most likely respect none of these probabilities...I just dont see many pairs really trending at the moment.

Much like intraday traders follow daily swings I am trying to follow short or med term swings with the way I am going now...the idea here is to get out timeously if we have a short or med terrm pullbacks and also take advantage of these pullbacks. You never know these pullbacks can turn into full blown longterm swings..So for me not having massive drawdowns or wasted profit with lengthy pullbacks in a longterm downtrend for example is what I am trying to achieve now...early days may or may not work..too early to tell..

Hi Guys

Just to add on....The concept I am working on now is for 5 min up to 1 hour (have not included 30 minutes - dont trade this timeframe).. with all the options available ...ma stacking, ma cross, hgi signal, Ma stochs..So if my Maddy dash board is highlighted and ready for a trade with my 15 min 120 and 240 crossover trades will be triggered and in addition I am including the 4 hourly and daily timeframe with all the options available so you can imagine that 4 hourly and daily trades should only trigger in the direction of the medium or long term trend...Now just imagine how many trades could be open on all currency pairs. This is fine it is all on demo..Might just get grid traders interested here

Anyway, the idea is to run this for a few months and take out non performing combinations and also currency pairs and only choose from a few best combinations and currency pairs for live trading consideration.

The whole idea for me here is to have intraday, short term, med term and long term trades all operating under one roof, ambitious I know...will see

Any ideas will be welcome and even modifications on my maddy dashboard could follow if I like other ideas here.

Sorry for a silly question but just want to know, if I set 21 and 60 LAMA both settings on TF 1M and 5M and have selected the option (MA Cross over). Will the trade be taken on M1 crossover of 21/60 or it is taken on M5 cross over?


Or is it the EA settings which decides to trade?

It is the ea setting that determines the trade once your maddy dashboard has been highlighted in the symbol column (red - weak symbol and green strong symbol)

Example Audnzd buy trade has just been triggered

Thank you so much buddy. That was helpful. I now understand that the signal has to be the same on both the TFs and the EA does the rest.
