...hedge function until next start time so then GridMaster and GridDancers can just pause with drawdown locked and then carry on where they left off? Would be great if this was also a chart 'pause' button along with 'buy only', 'sell only', and 'buy and sell'

Hi Ren,

How can I use your indicators Griddancer/GridMaster/Maddy1.7 to produce a buy/sell only as well as a straddle trade for GBPJPY based on anti-martingale method?

I will use Maddy1.7 to find weekly or monthly TF MA distance signal for entry and print a tunnel/band/ribbon of high, low, mid for a single MA. If the tunnel height is substantial (say 50 pips) and volatility (threshhold decided by ATR factor of manual input in terms of percent or pips) then the EA will execute two ways Anti-Martingale trades.

Pair chosen is one that whose mean-reversion pattern can be estimated based on past movements . Mean-reversion can be way of retracement, pullback, correction or reversal. TP and stoploss need to be based on equity trend or pips/percent input manually. Risk/reward has to be planned such that even if one side meets its TP, both trades can be liquidated with a profit.

By following Reverse Martingale my drawdown risk will be substantially controlled. If I keep 100 pips (1000 pipettes) as stop loss and scale up profits it will control risk considerably. I will be able to enter 7 times as against faced with huge drawdown lasting a few consecutive days.

I have chosen GBPJPY as my currency pair for straddle trading which will move in both directions until Brexit poll is done. I have made good amount of pips during last two months just by selling it only. I have not tried any straddle or anti-martingale trade. I want to try both during this month and next month. I will change the currency pair depending on its volatility expectations and estimated duration of medium trend.

My logic is:

Enter first lot when the price is at a distance of 40/50/60 pips (selectable) from open (close bar of last bar) price of the bar or single Moving Average distance with a stoploss of selected pips. Maddy 1.7 long-term TF
will provide me single MA signal.

Trade #1: Sell 1 Lot of GBPJPY @ 157.80 SL: 158.80 TP: 155.80 total Risk: 100 pips Potential Profit: 200 pips

Trade #2: Sell 2 Lots of GBPJPY @ 155.80 SL: 156.80 TP: 153.80 total Risk: 200 pips (profit from trade 1 win) Potential Profit: 400 pips

Trade #3: Sell 4 Lots of GBPJPY @ 153.80 SL: 154.80 TP: 151.80 Risk: 400 pips (profit from trade 2) Potential Profit: 800 pips

Liquidate Trade 3 and start again from Trade 1. You have 800 pips in hand.

Similarly Buy trades will be done.

For Straddles risk/reward has to be such that you should have enough pips in hand if you want to liquidate both trades and still make profit at the end of Trade 3.

It may not be possible to trade straddles on platforms that don't allow hedging and follow FIFO rule. In such a case spot fx and futures platform need to be used but two different margins will have to be maintained.

Please advise how can I use your EA to do this trade and whether you can include other inputs required in an EA to make it a one-stop executor of the anti-martingale trade.

Thank you.

Hi Guys,

I have closed the week and no more trades open. Gbpcad leading the way and suffice to say Gbpchf my second best, normally a difficult currency to trade.

Have a great weekend.

Cheers
Leon

I love this EA! Thanks rene!

I also had the problem with the EA not trading in a days. After I deleted the Global Variables like Leon said also, it started to trade again. Not a flaw since I'm deleting those variables after every day when the trading stops, usually at 16 GMT.

Thanks,

viltsu

Have a great weekend!

GridMaster/GridDancer is not a Martingale (or anti-Martingale for that matter). Lot sizes a kept the same for each trade. You will have to look else where for an EA that can implement your strategy.

Thank you for all your hard work! I just loaded it up on my charts for next week. I have liked the results I have seen so far with previous versions. Will you at some point post the mq4 source files for GridMaster and GridDancer?

Thank you for the new versions Renexxx ,
Looking back the balance with MADDY selection would, I think, have helped on the Thursday DD which was the max 6.7% shown below.
Here is this weeks result, I didn't close Friday evening and am holding AU, GU and UJ.
Trading the pairs on report below
