I am sorry to interrupt for possibly a silly question but I have a problem with grid dancer since monday.
I tried all versions and different broker platforms but the result is same. EA seems to work, there is no error message, but it takes no single trade!

You are giving us too little information to analyse your problem. What version(s) of GridMaster/GridDancer are you using? Are you using the 'automatic' DirectionBias? If so, what settings are you using for MADDY? Have you specified certain trading hours in GridMaster and if so, what are those?

In my setup, GridDancer has been very quiet as well since yesterday, but remember that there was a public holiday in the UK, and I have set mine to only trade in the London session. However, I've got a few open trades now, so I know that there is no coding errror.

You've got to do some thinking for yourself. Trust me, you feel great if you manage to solve a problem alone, so give it a go!

I am just using snippets from pm's that I am getting from guys not getting trades and answers I have given hopefully this can be helpful to you..

are you using Maddy v 1.7? the latest version under Maddy
Have you installed the include files and library files in the correct folders ref pg 1 Mad trader?

Yes the maddy dash board goes on one chart. Gridmaster goes on a second chart-this is the ea that will decide if the grid dancers will open and close a trade. The grid dancers will go on all the currency pairs you wish to trade. You have to select " get direction automatically " for the grid dancers to get the direction from the Maddy dash board. I have posted setfiles for the dash board and the grid dancers a few pages ago if you want to start with that.

If you click F3 on the keyboard it will display which pairs are being considered for trading. Should come up with anchor, grid sizes and grid levels with the currency pairs considered for trading

Is it showing gridlevel, gridsize and anchor level for each currency pair?, Global variables are only showing what trades are lying in queue to be opened. If you have nothing means no trades.

Check that you are trading within the trading time parameters on grid master and according to your local pc

Another thing is check that your grid trader spreads are in line with what your broker offers you. If the ea is set to 2 and the pair has a spread of 3 pips no trade will open

Anything else please feel free to add with regards to trades not opening.

Thank you both, I've trying for 2 days but no progress. Here are some information:
Version 1.2 work without problem.
Versin 1.3 does not have any trades.
I use keep both directions balanced.
For spread I tried from 1 to 10 intervals (which are all within range)
For Grid Master 1.3, I tried time field empty, and btw 0:00, 23:59. And now I completly removed it, nothing changed.

I am sure there is no coding error, something wrong with my settings, bur for 2 days no trades opened.

Did you set MaxLongShortDifference = 0?

If you did, you won't get any trades (of course).

By the way, instead of us trying to guess what your settings are/were, why don't you attach your set-file(s)?

So, you have set the GridDancerv1.3 to obtain the direction from MADDY. What does your MADDY dashboard look like? Do you have any currency groups colored RED or GREEN? If MADDY doesn't color any of the currency groups (or only one), none of the currency pairs is STRONG or WEAK. GridDancer is a single-symbol EA, that only opens trades for the symbol of the chart is has been attached to. So, if MADDY shows that GBP is WEAK and USD is STRONG, but you don't have a GridDancer attached to the GBPUSD chart, no trades for GBPUSD will be opened.

I would like to make a suggestion: if a single order is in profit and opened for more than 30 minutes, the EA could close it because probably the market is not moving fast, please let me know what you think about it, thank you.

In this strategy, the winners are used to offset the losers. If you got no losers, but only winners, the EA waits patiently until it gets a loser (and this ALWAYS happens).

Closing winners after x minutes is a totally different strategy and should be evaluated on its own merit.
