Let's say if there is an order(not from the EA) that is up 1%, and others EA's orders up 1% too, if the Equity TP is set to 2%, will the EA close its orders? Thank you for your reply.

Hi Rene :hi:
This EA is GOOD
I have a question about GridDancer/Master with Maddy.
When I chose Directional Bias = "Get direction automaticaly",
Maddy decide trade direction as per Green or Red signal.
I want to trade both direction with Maddy select pair(Green or Red).
Is it possible ?

Hi Rene and everyone.
I don't know if I'm doing something wrong with this EA. I've been trying it since it was first released but I think I may be missing something. My thoughts:
1. I use 0.01 Lots as my "demoing" lot size, as this is the lotsize I would use live.
For this reason, my parameters are modified according to this (Therefore my GridMaster settings is 1/5 of the OOTB.... so... Lots 0.01, MinProfit=1 EquityTP=10... which would be the equivalent of the OOTB 0.05; 5 and 50...)
2. I use Bully Pepperstone which has low spreads and $8 commission.
3. I'm trying this 3 setfiles, The first two are with both directions on, and slight variations of the Tp targets, and 1 is bascially Wavegarricks settings adapted to exactly 0.01 lots. only difference is i'm trading 13 pairs approx, for added movement.
The thing is, I can't make any money whatsoever with any settings. The EA seems to operate correctly, closing the sets of trades profitably for profits of $2-3, but always leaving some remaining Drawdown until the "rinse" comes, clearing all the negative floating balance into realized loss.
Am I missing something here? I am not seeing how the "Flushes" keep bringing the Equity up if all the time the remaining trades are going to keep building up unrealized Drawdown.

Am I understanding something wrong from how this is supposed to work? Or maybe it's a matter of pair selection? Or a different Broker?
Insights appreciated

Yes, the draw down can build up quickly and your EquitySL setting might be too tight, so that it clears out that draw down each time for a loss. This is particularly the case if you are trading without MADDY's provided Direction Bias.acostafulano » Tue May 31, 2016 11:50 pm wrote: Am I missing something here? Not sure myself what the best settings are, that's why we are all experimenting with the settings. I think it is too early to go live with it.

Thank you René. I think that the small targets were eating up my profits (specially considering commisions), so I've reseted the demos to something a bit bigger.
I agree this is still very early, but the concept shows promise!

Hi Rene,
If I have a manual trade opened that's up x%, and the EA has its orders open too, will the EA "see" the whole equity or just its orders? If it is seeing the whole equity, is it possible to isolate just the EA's orders? I am asking you it because I do trade manually and looks like the EA is considering mine plus its orders to close its opened trades. Thank you in advance for your reply!

The EA "sees" the whole equity. That means that if you have other trades open on the same account, the equity displayed by GridMaster will include these trades as well. I will re-iterate that I do not recommend running many different EAs on the same account, or using the same account for manual trading.szfxtrader » Wed Jun 01, 2016 11:34 am wrote: ..., will the EA "see" the whole equity or just its orders? In the attached version of GridMaster, I have tried to isolate the equity increase/decrease as a result of GridMaster/GridDancer trading activity, from the other trading activity on the same account. I haven't tested this version yet in great detail, but if it tests ok, I will move it later on to Post 1. Nothing else has been changed, so those who are not running multiple EAs on the same account do not need to upgrade.

There is one thing that bothers me with this strategy and that is this: We all know the golden rule in forex: "Cut your losers short, and let your winners run". This strategy does cut its losers short (at least one at a time), but also (in the process) cuts several winners short. These little winners could have become big winners with a little more patience, especially if the direction bias as given by MADDY proved correct. Therefore, I am now testing with a much larger MinProfit setting ($50, for a 0.05 lot size), to see if this theory proves to have some merit. Any more thoughts on this?

Finally jumping into GD bandwagon...
I've setup one acct for this with maddy 1.7+GD1.3 only.
So far, GD were attached to several pairs and set to trade both direction. One thing odd is that GD doesn't acquire the signal from MADDY and open the trades by itself on grid distance.
In this screenshot, i've got EURCAD that should be eligible for a sell, but instead, the rest of the pair placed the open orders too. I thought GD would listen to maddy for signal.
Is my setup spooked?
*Screenshot showing the EURCAD trigger condition on maddy, but GD opened too, not too long in several minutes after this setup was done to trade.
* Leon, btw, i saw your screenshot still having a MPTM. How is that MPTM going to work together with your grid trading? this is because you are not using the GridMaster?
