I have been so fortunate for everything I have been given on this site I just felt I have to give something back.
I coded the attached spreadsheet a while back to analyse the different strategies I was working with for several things
1) Mean R of trades - this is the expectancy of my strategies. Briefly it tells me for every $ I risk what can I expect as reward using said strategy
2) Standard deviation of my strategy - Briefly this tells me how volatile is my trading strategy and how much will it deviate in a given sample of trades
3) SQN - This is a concept put together by a chap called Van Tharp. Google him. essentially the SQN tells you the quality of your system based on 1 and 2 above.
The app handles 3 different strategies in live and demo trading so you can analyse strategies in both environments. You will need a minimum sample of about 100 trades for the numbers to start meaning something you can rely on.
The application is coded in MS Excel so anyone should be able to use it.
NOTE & WARNING - As it has macros your MS office will tell you it may be unsafe - I assure you I have not got any malicious intent and there is nothing in the macros that I know of that will cause problems. Enable macros and play.
The various tabs are all locked but the password to unprotect the sheets is "forex"
Anything in BLUE is calculated for you
Some sheets are hidden because they contain reference data - but again play around.
The app is pretty robust, but I cannot guarantee lack of errors. Neither can I guarantee that my code is calculating all things exactly as they should be.
