Before I started the offsetting the account made 100% in a few weeks.
I noticed that GBPJPY nearly always closes the same day, and put it on my live account.
You guessed it, didn't close the very 1st day, and in DD now.

No, the at that moment trademanagers used to much cpu which made the VPS freeze.marcoFF » Tue May 24, 2016 6:16 am wrote:

Might try again when I get a free spot on the VPS, now testing several instances of RnR.

Attached the results of the last 2 weeks trading the original concept of Daily Open Gridtrading.
Results are great, but.......
there is the occasional non-coöperative pair of the day;
Curious if this one ever gets out of the hole it dug itself into.
After going back through the thread and watching the charts, I realised the answer might be already buried in there.
If it would be possible to set a basket SL at the open trade that is 2 trades away from the last opened trade, DD would be limited.
Considering a 10 pip grid and a basketTP of 50pips, some examples;
Trade+1 opens,
Trade+2 opens in the same direction,
Trade+3 opens in the same direction, basket SL is set @ trade1,
2 options, after 7 more pips the basket closes @ +50 or price retraces and is stopped out @ -30.
Trade+1 opens,
Trade-1 opens in the opposite direction,
Trade-2 opens, basket SL is set @ trade1. Price returns and closes @ -50 or continues,
Trade-3 opens, basket SL is set @ trade-1. Price returns and closes @ -50 or continues,
Trade-4 opens, basket SL is set @ trade-2. Price returns and closes @ -50 or continues,
Trade-5 opens, basket SL is set @ trade-3. Price returns and closes @ -40 or continues and closes at TP for +50.
Trade+1 opens,
Trade+2 opens,
Trade-1 opens, basket SL is set @ trade+2. Price returns and closes @ -20 or continues,
Trade-2 opens, basket SL is set @ trade+1. Price returns and closes @ -60 or continues,
Trade-3 opens, basket SL is set @ trade -1. Price returns and closes @ -80 or continues,
Trade-4 opens, basket SL is set @ trade -2. Price returns and closes @ -90 or continues,
Trade-5 opens, basket SL is set @ trade -3. Price returns and closes @ -90 or continues,
Trade-6 opens, basket SL is set @ trade -4. Price returns and closes @ -80 or,continues,
Trade-7 opens, basket SL is set @ trade -5. Price returns and closes @ -60 or continues and closes at TP for +50.
Any suggestions?
Steve, would this be programmable?
After closure, TP or SL, all pendings should be deleted.

Anyone help me ?
I have ATR Grid size problem. I use GW version 1l.
I am trying to test following Grid/TP setting.
TP=0.5*ATR ( actual mulitiply is 5 )
Grid=0.1*ATR
But Actual Grid size is not 0.1*ATR.
GW display information about Distance between trades on chart.
I think this information is Grid space.
It seems same as DistanceBetweenTradesPips even if UseATRForGrid = true.
Attached picture shows my setting.
What is problem in my setting ?
Sorry for my English is inconvenience.

When setting the gridsize to 0,1xD1ATR, you're trying to push 10 trades in 20pips or less.
Right now you also aim for 5 times the daily range as a TP.
Try setting;
the pipdistance to 0,
the grid multiplier to 1,
the TP multiplier to 0,5

I think DistanceBetweenTrades is calculate from ATR.
When I attached GW to chart, text information of Distance Between Trades seems to be intended(ATR oriented).
But I do some action to cause initialize GW, information of Distance Between Trades is same as fixed setting manually.
So, right process to use DistanceBetweenTrades calculated by ATR are :
1. attach GW -> Distance Between Trades is calculated by ATR (intended)
2. After some EA initialize action( change TF or setting change etc)
-> Distance Between Trades is same as DistanceBetweenTrades(fixed value,not intended)
3. remove GW -> reattach GW -> Distance Between Trades is calculated by ATR(intended)
I did "2", but did not do "3".
I had to do "3" to use ATR value.
Anyway thanks

Hi Gertje
Thank you for sharing. Nice results.
How did you define Global TP pips value for each Basket ?

Hi Gertje
I think GW is less stress system!
Sorry if this is silly question.
In your result, each pair has some Loss.
I think you cut bad trade before huge DD.
if you dont mind, could you share your cut criteria ?
How do you Cutting bad trade manually or Any Basket TM ?
