Some single/multi pair EAs by demand

Hi,

I have received an email that says:

Jose, I would wish to put in at least $1000 into live trading. Which of your EA would you recommend I use? Please help me. Am looking at one that would take care of DD.

Regards,
In normal circumstances I will not have answered this email. Then I remebered that the long time members of this forum have a task of answer these questions in one of three possible ways:

. There are no answers. If any EA must to be supervised all or most of the time. Which sense has to use EAs ?
.There are some low risks EAs, but its profitability is so low that you will be bored and rejected them.
.Finally, there are some EAs that have DD but if you are not scared of it, you can go live with certain confidence.

I am choosing the third one. The email is talking about using "at least $1000 into live trading". Perhaps the question would have been expresed as "I want to invest .... $ into one EA with ... max DD". In such a case I had not answered anything, but if you are prepared to use EAs, one of my favourites is this one.

Also I must warn you that trading live is very hard and stressful. You must be very aware of the risks and profits, and it is all but easy. Trading with EAs can increment your doubts, and I must confess that there are times where the market seems to go against you irrespective of the rules of your EA (take into account that one EA is only an ensemble of rules).

But I want to tell you more: this EA has a trailing once in profit, but it is your responsability to use one of the management EAs of this forum to assing the initial stop loss. I cannot do this calculus for you.

Finally, I knew of a Lady that some time ago told me that she has tested an EA for a long time and wanted to go live with it. I reanalyzed the EA, corrected its bugs, and here it is.

Regards

José Luis

This is a common thing with most newbie traders. They always want to go live right away. They think they found the holy grail or a great creator to build these things and they want to go in blindly. The thing is, you can still test these live but you have to do it properly.

For instance, i have an account at a broker in which i get 500x leverage. It's enough for me to trade 1/10th of a penny on each trade when i go live. This is very safe for anyone who is just starting as well as testing EA's.

Personally i don't think you will get the same results live as you would in a demo. No matter how small you think your account is, you still have some affect on the market. Just because we are small trading with nothing doesn't mean our orders don't get processed or seen by any brokers or the banks. I think testing everything live is the best way to test your strategy or EA.

The best way to go about this is to use as much leverage as possible in order to get prices down to a level that's acceptable. As i mentioned before, my trades are very very small. If i lose massively on a penny account from an EA, the " massive " part is just a few dollars. On the other hand, try testing on a micro account with 10 cent per pip trades, you will get destroyed.

Just my two cents :)

Josh

Hi,

some time ago Ursus Bovarius sent me an email that said:

"I am demoing successfully and old EA that you modified, it seems very accurate, and I will be going live next month".

I took a look at the demo and was aware that:

"Your demo is overtraded (0,10 lots for very 1.000 euros), please reduce the lot size to 0.01 and the global risk to 10% (his maximum risk was 25%)"

He answered : "OK, but I will let the demo go as it is".

I began trading the same EA at he same time and the old EA was (is) trading well. The demo was margin called.

My conclusion: a bad money management can reverse a good EA into the worst possible EA.

Hi,

some time ago I wrote an EA that used a very special formula that I have deducted about the best entry for trading forex.

I included this formula in the Forex Duck and Forex Kiss series, but I think that the management that the EA conducted was not appropiate.

Recently, I have seen the fantastic developments that SH is conducting in his grid series EAs, and I could not resist to borrow one of them and include this formula as the trigger of the trades.

Consider this EA as an experiment, and demo it using only the pairs with positive swap (preferably pairs with AUD,CAD and NZD).

I must prevent you that this is my first adaptation of the SH shell, and can have many bugs. This EA does not have any expiration or limitation.

José Luis

Hi,

I have received an email that says:
hey JL

many thanks for uploading KISS Jose Luis 'n Grid. i agree that the kiss series had amazing entries ( i am still doing a forward demo of kiss v2a with custom trade management EA that sets a stop loss) and its doing good.

can i ask what timeframe the new EA is intended for?

regards

My answer:

Hi,

The natural timeframe of the EA is 1 hour.

Hi there!
Dear José Luis and all of you..

I´m using kiss n grid in an 10000€ account 0.01 lot OOTB for the following pairs with 1 H Charts, from yesterday

AUDUSD,AUDCAD,GPBAUD,GBPCAD,USDCAD,EURCAD, CADCHF, EURNZD, AUDJPY, AUDNZD, CADJPY, EURAUD, USDCAD, NZDJPY,,NZDUSD,

pending orders where sent to these pairs by the EA:

GPBAUD,GBPCAD,USDCAD,EURCAD, EURNZD, AUDJPY,AUDNZD,CADJPY,EURAUD,USSCAD, and no one has started yet.

First orders where sent yesterday.

Is it a normal behaviour for the EA,( if someone is using it,,,)?
Am I doing anything wrong?

I attach some pics.

Thank you in advance!
