Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

Dears, I have Empty4 built 419 and Shelley version K. Everything works fine.
Uploading earliest versions (from 1F to 1k). But please go over the thread and read all the comments by Steve.
Please find attached.

I attached the v1J ea to the chart and trades have opened and stayed open. Still on build 427.

Shelley - check the default settings are ok - mine worked fine but I did adjust quite a few of the default settings - just make sure they make sense for how you want the EA to trade.

As for your question re. Matt's script. You just need to drag it on to one chart (any chart) and wait for it to finish (messages in the experts folder will tell you when it has). If there are any errors they will pop up in an alert. It takes a few minutes to run.

Further to my post above, I think the chart below from the NB10.2 booklet illustrates what can be done to manage the DD we get with Shelley. We could avoid trading those pairs that show red candles in the 1MA histogram of the H4 (periods 2 and 3 in the chart below) indicating that there is some price retracement taking place and start trading these pairs again when 1MA turns blue.

- never use the F7 key to make changes to your inputs. Forget you ever heard of it. The variables used by the program are not necessarily reset, and chaos can ensue.

Oh my goddness. Yesterday i read the first post nearly seven times but don't think i got the line stating F7.

(i don't think i have a lack of the most basic of understanding EA's. I did program some EA's for myself. Never heard of the F7 issue before... Now i'am a bid wiser. )

Opened basket now (9:40 GMT+2). 5 trades as follows;
Sell x4: EURJPY, EURUSD, GBPJPY, GBPUSD
Buy x1: USDCHF
A few pips down (hovering btwn 4 and 10).

Update (10:15 GMT). Basket 31 pips up.

2nd update. Basket 1 closed for 50 pips (not intentionally! Lock in profits parameter overrode my basket pips - u live, u learn

Basket 2 opened 11:26 (GMT+2). Closed out @ 11:50 (GMT+2) for 75 pips.

If I've learnt anything, its that timing of entry is key. I now open a "demo" basket in the morning, and when it looks like its at its worst drawdown, I then run Shelley on "live" hoping for a return to the main Daily trend.

Entering after basket retracement, rather than at specific times of day, sounds worth investigating.

Version 1l is in post 1. Please see 'Trading styles'.

The combo is a bit of a blunt instrument. For example, S&G will buy when Slope today is >= 0.8 and was lower than that yesterday (plus any other criteria applied to trading OriginalShelley).

You guys start thinking about how to refine this. Maybe a rising angle, that sort of thingy.

As the latest version is a combo, I suggest you save your current one with a different name, or start a fresh demo for the update.
