HGI for beginners.

Hello,
Even myself think this is very basic question, but please allow me to ask for right place to look up.

According to page 33 of HGI DEC 2014 V.14.01, HGI indicator will keep the old signal and post new.
and the last HGI inidicator has option
KeepHistory=True (as default)

I wanted indicator not to show past signal which invalidated at the point candle close. therefor set KeepHistory as FALSE.
However, I still see historical signal unless i switch TF or reinitialize the indicator.

How can I let indicator only to show the latest sign for clean view?

this is not possible, in the way the indicator calculates and would be useless, as you trade the NOW and not the PAST..

is it possible to have the HGI showing only in a separate indicator window below the charts and not on the charts as it is at the moment?.
I will like to see the HGI show in a separate horizontal indicator window and not on proce chart. window and it will

no this is not possible, it would too not make imo much sense..

if both does not have anything to do with showing past signals. :

Please read the HGI-thread and the pdf there are all functions well explained, keep histroy will show you too signals that appeared short time in past, but were annulated in the same candle, when dirrection or dynamics changed...

Hi All.

I am revisiting HGI Matrix after some time of not using it, my bad. I have used it and installed previous versions successfully before version 31L etc. I see it has been updated and we are up to version 33.

I prefer the L version for reasons previously explained. I have downloaded the most recent versions of HGI LIB, MQH etc and triple checked they are in the correct folders. However I cannot get HGIMATRIX ver 33L to attach to a chart. As per the PDF I have compiled it, I think although it does have an error, but not sure if this is relevant or not.

My understanding is if a file doesnt attach it is not compiled or a problem exists somewhere.

Sorry if this is the most basic NOOB question but the hat fits, when it comes to getting this stuff sorted.

Suggestions welcome and many thanks to all for the great forum.

You must have pasted one of the files in the wrong folder. Double check the files locations and restart Empty4. You don't need to compile anything to run HGIMatrix...

Interesting as ver 31L runs ok but not 33L. All files are in correct locations.

Only problem may be the HGI.Lib.ex4 file as I had to go and find this but may not be current version, if that is necessary but dont know..... It is in the libraries file. There is not much difference between the two so will run with 31L

At least 31L is working for me. Better than not having it at all.

if 31L works for you it the HGIlib.ex4 is not involved as both use them, the latest HGIlib file you find always here attached to the first post..
