Interesting. Didn't have trades close because wasn't in FIFO order. I used a script that set the TP all at one price. So does anyone have a close all orders and TP script that will set trades in FIFO order for TP. Sheesh.

Can someone post their AUD/JPY chart 5M for the day. I want to see if anyone else had a spike that entered both my stop sells. It went exactly to my sell stops and then went back up to its normal price. I thought OANDA didn't play those games.

I was placing sell stops behind price action in case of a major drop or buys on the JPY. That was my strategy for me today

Bearing in mind your principle of "Trade so you can trade another day", what's your take on European currencies and particularly GBP for say the next quarter?
After Brexit, it's likely any fundamentals coming out of the UK will not be good for GBP.
There is the expected Article 50 which will formally trigger the UK's divorce from the EU. On this being handed in I would expect a further plunge in GBP.
Scotland and NI may now put pressure on Westminster to have referenda on their own divorces from the UK - this too would add more downward pressure on the GBP
There appears to be a move for some businesses and inward investors saying they are reviewing their business models insofar as locating or staying on in the UK is concerned - that is another black hole for GBP
These are ominous days for GBP and even tho we trade what we see not what we think - I'm interested in your take on this.
I also think a flight from the GBP may adversely impact the other European majors EUR and CHF but if anyone here trades smaller Europeans - what do you think may happen to those ?
I've been out of the market for 3 weeks waiting for the who-ha to die down. before I re-engage your thoughts would be welcome.

Great questions wish I knew the answer. The whole problem with Brexit is it's a first of its kind event. So we don't have a precedent to follow as a guide. From what I understand and I could be wrong, it's at least a two year divorce. So what to do? I've spent most of my time trading NZD, AUD, and JPY pairs. Now that JPY has gone down and AUD and NZD are moving up that correlation is working again.RisklessPips » Thu Jun 30, 2016 9:14 am wrote:Bob

The GBP will survive all this and retake its place as a major currency again. It maybe weaker for a while but the BOE has a third of a trillion (USD estimate) on hand to keep it stable. Add to that the Bank of India and HK banks have a stake in GBP stability I would assume within a week or so it will stake out its new trading ranges and go from there. So after this week I expect it to develop a range of a high and low and trading GBP crosses will be viable or predictable again. By this for me it means CSS reads will be viable again and HGI reads will be useful. So next Monday I may begin showing GBP moves. All bets are off however if Scotland/N. Ireland/Gibraltor try to separate from the United Kingdom.
The EURO is another story. This is another shock to the system and other countries may have similar movements. I don't know European politics to make any kind of educated guess. So I probably won't get into many buy situations with the Euro. Listen to Germany and to some extant France because those two have the biggest say. So as long as those two are pro-Union you will have a union with some smaller countries coming and going. Personally I prefer a united Europe because it lessons the continental wars of past history.
Last point is CHF follows its own path or decides to be the Euro cousin. I imagine it will be easier to trade CHF crosses over EUR crosses.
Final thought Euro banks are centuries old and have assets we can't even imagine. I don't see them wanting to see instability for any period of time to last so they will step in before it gets too far out of control.
Final conclusion, things will stabilize, trading becomes normal and things will work out over the next couple of years as England goes its own way.

Bob, do you currently take/trade every big arrow regardless of the position of the price in terms of support and resistance?
