Technical questions need to be answered by the programmers. I just work the numbers of the different indicators. They did the programming but needless to say we had to make decisions/compromises so that all the different factors worked seamlessly together. The last three weeks since trading HGI and taking the big arrows only when they appeared I am sitting on a greater than 75% win rate. So I just take the signals and then manage the trade based on my CSS reads.

Hi bob, the alerts only fire for the big arrows if they appear on the current bar. They do not fire if an arrow appears a few bars behind the current bar. I happened to see this happen on an H1 chart in real time. A big up arrow appeared over the top of a prior range buy arrow. No alert fired. I found that to be an interesting and useful occurence. That's fine, the market is now in a trending mode. But that will cause me to change my profit targets, of course. Can you look into this? I have been running the 10.2 slope indi below the HGI and I recognize that the waveform changes from bar to bar and that it not only affects the current bar, but several bars behind the current bar. That is why we will get a trend arrow that will appear behind the current bar. It was an ingenious wrinkle to have an indicator that takes snapshots of the 10.2 slope. It turns out that is very handy.

It would be nice to know if a trend arrow appears at any time, not just the current bar. Is that even possible?

Hi Charles, it turns out that I read your entire thread and have followed from it's inception. I like the way your system identifies exhaustion and capitalizes on it. I also like the way you use another famous Empty4 repainter, the 123 Semaphore. Thank you for your detailed post.

Thanks again for the indicator & your trading insights. I assume the above chart used is a H4? Do you also have any insight on a H1 chart?
I find a HGI H1 chart with CSS H1 & H4 works good but with a lot of reversals. I'll try the above next week.

I am US also so I use Tallinex for my broker, they have been pretty good about spreads, trades & withdraws for the last two years, Dodd-Frank did a job on us.

You can change the name from v16.08 to v16.07. Hope this will work. If you don't want to change the name, use v16.08 instead.

I use HGI with the MA240Filter set to true. Since downloading and using HGI V16.08 I have been unable to get any RAD arrows on my charts, two different computers and two different brokers. Playing with different settings has shown that by setting MA240Filter to false allows the RAD arrows to return to the chart. Is this how 16.8 is supposed to work or is there a spanner in there?

You spottet a little bug when using the 240 filter, that is now fixed, first post has now the fixed version attached, recommended for all users using the 240 MA filter!
