Hi: Open the 'MetaQuotes Language Editor' (the button to the left of 'AutoTrading') & then open the EA that you are using & hit the 'Compile' button. This should fix the problem & some others on all of the charts that are open.

Cheers, Stan

P.S. This also fixes CSS when it has no information showing.

Guys, I do post a Serious Warning at the start of every one of my threads.

It is entirely up to you whether you take any notice or not. I do not care as its only purpose is to protect me from possible litigation from a cretin with a Forex death wish who has failed to do what I tell said cretin is necessary.

One of the stipulations in the warning is that people must be able to use EA's. Learn to use them before using anything I offer or your obstinate refusal to do so will end up costing you money - and probably sooner rather than later.

Capiche?
Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.

My special thanks to Thomas (tomele) for all the incredible work he does here.

I have been using your M5 set with v2d for 26 hours, EDT 7-14 07:00 to 7-15 09:00. Here are the results & a sure fire killer in any other time frame, GBPCAD.

You can see by the example that some indicators might do a little better. You can on the results that the worst & the best had only a 3 hr difference in time.

I think its more the timeline & the EA process, BnG, which helps cover the worst trades. I'll test with a tighter indicator and let you know.

Thanks Steve, Bob & TJF

Joe have you run into any anomalies with "closeonoppositesignal"? Take this pic for instance. The yellow waves should have closed the trade with a nice little profit but nothing happened until a red arrow showed up. Yet just a little bit later the yellow wave closed the sell trade with no problem. I thought at first maybe it was that the waves popped and then went away within the 60 seconds that the EA takes to read the indicator but a refresh still has a wave there.

These are both interesting and awesome results. I got stung this week on GBPJPY as you have with GBPCAD. I think this set will work most of the time but when price moves fast without looking back ultimately it will get caught opening far too many positions against the direction of the move. The problem is as follows:

A losing sequence of trades will open more and more grids against the trend until it has a chance to close them out through offsetting (assuming that opportunity comes which it didn't for me this week on GBPJPJ).

A winning sequence of trades close out at the earliest opportunity of either a range wavy, opposite signal or offsetting a previous loser.

The solution is very simple and I can't believe I overlooked this with my original testing :arrrg:

We need Close on Opposite to be true even if positions are at a loss. We keep close on Range Wavy as true only if positions in profit.

This does cut down on some profit but makes the setup much safer and I am adopting this moving forwards.

To be honest I haven't kept that close an eye since I am testing a few different things and leaving them hands off. If the first yellow wavy doesn't close it for some reason then the next or opposite arrow should anyway.

I’ve been checking out the code for wavy signals. It looks like it will only close your position if you are in profit, which confirms neocount’s claim, I also believe line 6040 doesn’t belong. It however wouldn’t help us because we are in a loss.
I don’t think Close on opposite signal will help either, it also require’s (!OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions || SellPipsUpl > 0) . We were in a loss when opposite signal appeared and I don’t think we want to make this false “OnlyCloseProfitableOppositePositions “.

Next week could you check to see if the GJ would have made a profit and get a general idea of what the DD might have been? I’m betting it goes profit I just don’t know how deep the DD will go. In my case the DD for GPBCAD was 2380 pips & -$23.80 with .01 trades, not bad considering the final PL. It just looks gruesome on the chart.
One option could be to set up a “Basket TP & SL symbol specific” either in the BnG or a TM. In my case it would have been a looser but in yours it could have saved your butt. It also could destroy a lot of TPs if set to low.
I’ll try it all again for the full a week next week. I hope Steve can answer neocount ‘s question. It looks like it should have worked.

Regards
ray

PS: TJF don't you have to change the " bool TradeShort=false; or "bool TradeLong=true;" in the EA for your LONG or Short sets to work ? or we could just extern them.
