Just an idea.Can we add an option to the POM EA in order to open the template chart that is attached Rinse and repeat EA on it.And When signal is taken o n POM expert, it will open this chart

PoM has been updated with new features - code at bottom of post 1. I have also included a reference setfile.

A new user guide has also been written with full details on usage, settings and the underlying thoughts behind PoM.

There is a known issue with the version of PoM trader posted.

The issue is duplicate trade orders may be placed at the hedge point. This is caused by latency between Empty4 and broker server.

A fix is underway but give us time.

In the meantime if your refresh is set at the OOTB setting of 1 second look out for this behaviour and adjust your test expectations accordingly.

I am currently running a 2 ECN broker setup. One for control other for setfile changes. When the setfile outperforms control it becomes new control and so on.

At moment control is hedging the other setfile is not.

I will then test setfiles running only the major currencies for each session during the session e.g AUD NZD and JPY pairs during Asia

I placed the latest version of the autotrade EA pomtrader 3.1 with pomtrader reference setfile from post 1 on a Global Prime eurjpy H1 chart mid asia, and soon I had an nzdusd long which went immediately into positive. i closed the trade and disabled autotrading as I realised I didnt have the correct trade manager and settings running. after setting up a separate chart with the swiss army ea and correct settings i re-enabled terminal autotrading and went to bed

as of 11:19am UK time so far no further trades have been taken on my demo; enable autotrade is set to true as per the setfile and all autotrade / allow dll options are fine on the terminal. just wanted to know if this was normal or should there have been some trades so far today from london open's volatility?

Good question.

The attached setfile takes trades very conservatively only when the average PoM Value is above a high threshold and when the individual symbol's also have a high PoM value (i.e they are running fast against their ATR and the TF elapsed time is short.

Lower the settings for time elapsed for a trade to enter, and / or raise average PoM that must be attained before trade entry and / or raise the PoM value range a symbol must lie in before entry to restrict entries even further

OR

Raise the settings for time elapsed for a trade to enter, and / or lower average PoM that must be attained before trade entry and / or lower the PoM value range a symbol must lie in before entry to allow more trade entries. These trades will often be lower quality because this is not fast moving price action.

Two other things

1) H1 will often take a long time to attain the setfile trade entry criteria - so you may want to explore M30, M15 and M5 (M15 and M30 are quite promising but do experiment)

2) I have found Asia can be quiet so again entry conditions are restricted, best times for volatility are session crossovers and NY in full swing also has fast moves from time to time. London can be unpredictable - mostly quiet but with occasional very fast moves.

thanks for the answer. I don't wanto to force potentially lower quality trades so will leave the settings as is, just wondered if there was something wrong my end. have also lowered the chart timeframe to m15, although I didn't think this made a difference as the trading timeframes are hardcoded in the setfile to 5,15 and 30 unless i'm missing something?

A fantastic piece of work. Talk about thinking outside the box.

Apparently I’m exceeding the size of characters allowed in the “IncludeSymbols”. My broker Tallinex has a “ecn” suffix which only allows for 23 pairs or 207 characters. Any chance we can expand on the size or not sure this would help, add a suffix input?
