Ok. off week for me First GBP/CHF, took an arrow up and then a news story reversed it. 1-2 for 99 pip loss. Sucks. Also tried 30M chart for three days and had more trades but many went no where, so went back to 1H and 4H charts. By the end of the week almost got back to zero. Trading blind has its pitfalls.
All Trades
Trades Total: 34
Trades Won: 22
Trades Lost: 12
Trades Even: 0
Max Profit: 85 pips
Max Loss: -99 pips
Avg Profit: 21 pips
Avg Loss: -48 pips
Total Pips: (-119.8)
Winning trades: caught Aud and USD as they movrd up. Got burned on GBP drop but got on the EUR trades as they dropped. So two weeks of losses but July was a profitable Month as the last week was the only losing week. Started August on the losing side but 119 loss can be made up quickly. So wont be playing 30M chart. Found more trades but they didnt move much. Had better luck with fewer trades and bigger moves on the 1H and 4H charts.

August is a slow month in Forex (usually) there have been exceptions. So expecting more ranging. Will use 4H chart CSS this week.
JPY run up seems over as reversals and bottoms seem to form on the charts. So you see it angle down. AUD and NZD both moving up so happy things returned to normal again. Look for NZD and AUD buys against the JPY as AUD has crossed and NZD is about to cross up. Also USD buys as it rises to the top.
USD news was good Friday so it moved strong up. I expect the carry over will continue and USD will be strong early in the week and probably all week as it goes to #1 on the charts. USA USA USA ,, sorry shouldnt have dont that. Olympic week forgive me. Look for USD buys against all currencies.
AUD is on top and NZD is following. HEY my favorite trades watch AUD go up and then do NZD trades up. Hasnt been like this during June and July but finally some normalcy. Those of you that have followed me know this is one of my bread and butter moves. AUD goes first and NZD follows. So I will buy NZD against JPY as they are ready to cross. AUD and NZD looks good against all currencies except USD.
Looks like EURO currencies are in the toilet for the week so look for sells against them.
CAD is diving and just crossed the USD so buy USD against CAD. Also NZD/CAD buys will look good as the cross happens.
Much better looking CSS charts than last week.Happy trading.

Back on the plus side as I landed almost 300 pips yesterday. Sold gbpusd and gbpnzd for most of them and picked up a handful eurusd. So Just like that back on the profit side. Haven't done any trades today working on housing paperwork. Should close sept. 7. Yes.

CSS WITH HGI
Hi all,
Reasonably new (again) to trading, am working on demo at the moment and have been trying out using CSS and HGI in my trading. I still haven't nailed down the best timeframes & style to trade for myself yet but have been finding better success using CSS with the 4H charts.
I'm actually UP so far this week, hopefully I can hang onto it... will try post some results (embarrassing though they may be) at the end of the week to keep this thread alive - I'm finding other's analysis of the same charts very helpful!
Cheers

Didnt trade every day but when I did BINGO!! First GBP/CHF 1 trade for 16 pips. HA beat ya. Take that.
Ok now for the rest of the week.
All Trades
Trades Total: 28
Trades Won: 22
Trades Lost: 6
Trades Even: 0
Max Profit: 97 pips
Max Loss: -42 pips
Avg Profit: 32 pips
Avg Loss: -25 pips
Total Pips: 560.6
I looked for USD & NZD strength and JPY weakness this week and did 21 of my 28 trades on those 3 currencies crosses. Hit big on Monday with almost 300 pips and then did well Thursday playing JPY weakness for another 200+ pips. Rest of the week didnt do much and missed the USD drop Friday. So back on the plus side for August after 2 losing weeks in a row.
Still work on closing on the house. Will close Sept. 7 and then spend 10 days preparing the house to move in. Looking forward to my retirement home 15 minutes from the ocean and Sebastian Inlet. One of the world's great fishing spots.

OK interesting week. USD strong Monday but then dropped all week. Was surprised by that I thought it would stay strong all week. But it didnt then it started to climb again and bam news story dropped it Friday. JPY didnt head for the bottom but weakened enough to go into dead zero land along with the EUR rising up to zero land. So fearless forecast for the week.
CAD on top and USD on the bottom. These two pair correlate real well so they are usually on the opposite ends from each other. I dont trade CAD much and got several aud/cad sell signals this week but didnt take them. Buy CAD against a dropping AUD, NZD, and GBP. Watch out on the usd/cad because its drop was from a news story and CSS predicted it with the cross. Wasnt watching though.
CHF on top. Not used to seeing CHF separate from its EUR cousin so trying to get a feel of whats going on here. Buy CHF against AUD, NZD, and GBP also. Yeah gbp/chf will be looking to sell you for profit. :youknow:
AUD, NZD both diving down and crossing JPY and EUR. So sell AUD and NZD against those two along with CAD, and CHF. USD & GBP not so sure but if they look to cross sell them there also.
EUR & JPY odd pairing in the middle. Not sure what either one will do but the eur/jpy dropped big late Friday. Not sure why. So wary of trading either one right now. Waiting to see which way they will go. Most likely JPY will go up with AUD, NZD dive.
USD and GBP. Pound is no surprise but the USD drop is surprising. Thought it would stay up longer than one day.
Sell GBP against any currency especially USD if it goes up and GBP stays down. Also JPY going up would make some good GBP/JPY buy trades.
Markets are volatile with sudden change of direction and good sized moves. Dont be too dismayed though looks like they will range if you are in the negative right now. You have a good chance they will reverse and stay in their ranges. Have fun trading.

USDCAD H4.
Although I used HGB to take the trade, I setup the EA on selected pairs, based on Daily CSS reads. So I consider this a semi automatic trade.
Also have positive trades on USDJPY and NZDUSD.

REMEMBER WHEN I POST MY RESULTS I AM USING AN IPHONE-6 WITH MA LINES ON A TINY SCREEN FROM AN APP. I AM USING THE BUY SELL LARGE ARROW SIGNALS ON EITHER THE 1H OR 4H CHARTS THAT ARE SENT TO ME FROM A SEPARATE COMPUTER THAT I DONT GET TO SEE. SO I AM TRADING PURELY HGI SIGNALS AND USING THE 15MA 60MA AND 240MA LINES. I AM FINDING HGI RELIABLE ENOUGH TO MAKE A PROFIT. THE ONLY SCREENING I DO IS TWO THINGS. HOW BIG IS THE CANDLE WHEN I GET THE SIGNAL. IN OTHER WORDS HAS THE MOVE MOVED TOO MUCH TO ENTER? SOMETIMES THIS HAPPENS. THE OTHER FILTER I USE IS ARE THE BANKS OPEN AT THIS TIME. I DO NOT TAKE USD/CAD SIGNALS DURING JPY OR EURO SESSIONS. I DONT TAKE AUD/CAD SIGNALS DURING THE EURO SESSIONS AND SO FORTH. I USE PURE HGI SIGNALS AND ALMOST NOTHING ELSE AND ONLY GET TO SEE THE CSS CHARTS TWO OR THREE TIMES A WEEK. I LITERALLY AM TRADING ALMOST BLIND YET STILL MAKE A PROFIT WEEK BY WEEK.
Not a great week but ended up a winning week. Had several entrances that went into loss territory and stayed there. Kind of traded a little of everything but did catch the eur/jpy move and some nzd moves but traded all over the board. Had several trades that were profitable but reversed and took losses on. After several of those I began to take smaller profits and caught up later in the week. Only on the usd/cad did I profit more than 60 pips for the week. gbp/chf 3 trades for -110 pips
that pair stinks. So not a great week but looking for a better week next week. Ranging markets can be tough.
