Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

I've been a bit busy this week, so haven't had much time to post, but my manual trades finally closed out at 317 pips profit (they were open 3 days, but with minimal drawdown), with a total of 3819 pips since I started trading this system on 8th May.

After some messing about with the Shelley EA I finally have it working correctly with 282 pips profit since yesterday. I think there was 4 trades taken yesterday and 6 today. I am using AdaptiveTakeProfitPips = 25
Tonight I have now added the EA to 3 charts and set it up to open just prior to London, New York & Tokyo sessions just for gigs

I am also having good success with the regular NB 10.2 EA with 586 pips so far this week.

Shelley EA - New York session, all trades closed with 250 pips profit. Total pips London/New York = 431
I have the EA set up for the Tokyo session, but I'm not as confident with this session as the market has to retrace and breathe sometime. I think I will change the AdaptiveTakeProfitPips to 15 for Tokyo session and see what happens.
It's all demo anyway

NB 10.2 EA has now clocked up 842 pips this week and positive trades open

I took the NT session as well, and profitably as well.

Your original idea of trading the London session is expanding already. Looking forward to seeing how your Asian session goes.

For a while, I toyed with adding session trading times to the EA, then realised that all we have to do is set up the bot on three different charts with 3 different settings.

We have the London session and NY session both showing up profitably so far. It would be fantastic to find Asia doing the same.

Ok, my Asian session basket closed in under 90 minutes.... another $200 banked.... that's just south of $1k for the day...... so 100% hit rate in the past 4 sessions since I started trading live for yesterday's Asian session.... very impressive indeed......

One work around might be to change the function to a keep alive function. You place your entry say for 22:45 local time. Then simply have a keep alive parameter. Set keep alive to say 8 hours or whatever and after 8 hours, it closes your basket. You would have to tie it to a date as well in case someone sets it for say keep alive 30 hours.

Just a thought.

really superb results! do u mind sharing your settings? all me other eas been crushed by the market last few months...and i really need shelleys to get me out of the hole. if i had started shelley in mid may..would not be in deep shit now....hope i can still save my accts with shelley.

are u using adaptivetp 20? how bout adaptivestoploss and adaptive breakeven?

i tried adaptive tp 20 adsl 20 and adbe 10 and made profits on demo for newyork n london open. but i was wondering what would be a good adaptive stoploss to limit risk...would 20 be good? in case we get caught in retracements? thanks guys!

would it be possible to include a filter for shelley whereby the ea checks for the h1 tma slope before triggering the basket?

therefore we would go long on the currency when all the predefined conditions r met with the additional criteria being that on h1 the tma slope must be > or = 0.8 ? and for shorts h1 tma must be < or = -0.8 ? cos a quick glance at the charts would show that when tma of h1 goes into ranging mode, more often than not, a retracement occurs.

so what do u guys think? would this make the shelley basket much more robust against the dreaded retracements?

I started shelly this morning, same version, same time, same setfile but once on real account and once on demo account. I get different trade suggestions (real = 6 Trades / demo = 12 trades). What could be the reason ?

Anyway I have stopped trading Shelley live untill I have an exit plan, and now I don´t have any......
