Regarding version 1.59 does the line in the sand move after positions are closed? I just noticed that it opened several buys when the price was going down and I wasn't sure why. For the next version can you make it so it draws the line but it won't open more positions unless it goes above the top buy or below the bottom sell and also ensure the line moves to go below the lowest buy or above the top sell? So for example if it goes up 3 levels but doesn't close profit because there are other open orders that are in loss. So it then goes back down 3 levels then it goes back up to the starting point. Now it should go up 3 levels but there are already orders there so wouldn't it be better to not open orders. so lets say it goes up 6 more levels and closes the bottom 3 sells and the bottom 3 buys. So In this version does the line move up to go belove the buys or does it stay where it was when you first put the ea on the chart?

HGIDancer / GridMaster
I have given a new spin to this combo of bots, that has been producing very encouraging results (so far):
HGIDancer gets the direction bias from HGI (the HGI-library to be precise). As before, when HGIDancer is started (or re-started by GridMaster), it sets an anchor line, from which a (virtual) grid is created. The grid-spacings are configured with the DistanceBetweenTradesATRRatio and DistanceBetweenTradesPips parameters. As and when a new grid level is reached, HGIDancer asks the HGI Library what the direction bias is. There are two parameters that play a role here: HGITimeFrame (Default: H4) and HGILookBack (Default: 4). If -during the last HGILookBack candles- there was an UP-arrow (either TREND UP, RAD UP or RANGE UP), the direction bias is UP and HGIDancer will open a BUY at that new grid level. If there was a DOWN-arrow, HGIDancer will SELL at that new grid level. If there was no HGI-Signal at all in these last HGILookBack candles, HGIDancer will stand down (or actually sit down ... how can you stand down? Standing is something you do up right ... This is one of these weird English expressions, similar to filling out of form ... shouldn't you be filling it in? But I digress ...).
So, in theory, it is possible that HGIDancer opens a sequence of BUYs, followed by a sequence of SELLs (if HGI changes direction).
GridMasterv1.8 does its normal thing of finding profitable sets of trades to close, in order to (1) increase the balance and (2) reduce the margin.
The results, as displayed above, were obtained by running HGIDancerv1.0 OOTB on AUDUSD, GBPUSD, EURUSD, USDCAD, USDCHF, USDJPY and GBPJPY, and GridMasterv1.8 on EURUSD, since last Monday, uninterrupted and untouched. I thought that it looked good enough to deserve a wider audience. We all know that the GridMaster/GridDancer concept is rubbish, so I can only attribute the success of this to the use of the fabulous HGI-library.
Make sure you get the latest copy of hgi_lib.ex4 from the HGI post, and place it inside the \Libraries folder. Then pick-up GridMasterv1.8 and HGIDancerv1.0 from Post 1 of this thread, and place them in the \Experts folder. Do a quick Right-Click Refresh on the Navigator panel and you are ready to go.
Have fun.

Good day, renexxxx!
Thank you for a new concept!
I have another question concerning GridMaster. Tell me please, can we run it with MCH?
My idea is to run MCH with fabulous TJF's Diff set + GridMaster.
So if the equity is above balance, we wait for basket of trades to be closed at BasketTP. But when the equity is below the balance, then GridMaster comes in, and does its magic to "clear the table" in profit.
I would deeply appreciate to hear your thoughts on this issue.
Beat regards,
Denis

Wouldn't that be nice! If the EA has created a nasty drawdown for itself, GridMaster comes to the rescue and closes everything in profitdenmig » Thu Oct 20, 2016 6:02 pm wrote: So if the equity is above balance, we wait for basket of trades to be closed at BasketTP.
