Sorry - I did use 0.3. I was using 0.01 per $1000 in another test I am running. Zennor's method of working out 1% per trade using a 2 x ATR SL and then deleting the stop loss makes sense but was time consuming so I took a rough average of 0.3.
Okay, got it.
I produced a spreadsheet and made a table that says to use x-lotsize with y-ATR.
Works like a charm, and you only need to look when entering the first set of trades early in the morning. All consequent trades will have the same lotsize after that.

Sounds like a good idea. It would be good to get an EA that can do it on the fly. One that can calculate lot size based off of ATR and allow you to add a comment (and have big shiny buy/sell buttons)

I am starting to look at coding so will share if I can get something done

While you're at it, make it a multi pair-autotrader with basket capabilities.....

Daily candle change traded with 0.3 lot on $9k demo account. I made a mistake on AUDUSD (0.22) and NZDCHF (which I immediately deleted and re-opened with 0.3)

Basket target 1.5% and shirt protection of 15%. Hit within a couple of hours with little to no drawdown

H4 - opened 27 trades based on CSS status 15 minutes after Sydney Open. 0.3 lots per trade on a $10k demo. Hedged trades on any H4 crosses. Doubled up positions according to CSS at the close of the first H4 candle. Basket closed with 2% profit before close of second candle. Max draw down was 7%.

1.5% just closed when opening the new set of trades.....

I entered all pairs on Global Prime's;
- 9h00 candle
- 11h00 candle
- 12h00 candle
- 13h00 candle some, untill I noticed the trades disappeared.

Was thinking about a bug, but no, basket TP kicked in.

GBP and NZD did the heavy lifting, CAD and CHF left the money behind.

I observed that the winning currencies went to the outer limits on the H4 CSS, where the losers were angling inwards on the H4 CSS.
This might be a filter to observe.....

1.5% profit just taken a little bit behind you Gertje but probably because you missed the 10:00 but in the great scheme of things missing a candle here or there appears to have no detrimental effect on the overall performance..

Very true.

Also being 5 minutes before/ after the top of the hour will not matter much in my opinion.

I have been searching for some time for an indicator to give quality reliable signals worthy of basket trading and have been studying currency strength and the many forms in which it takes and have come to the firm belief that this kind of trading gives you the highest probability of a successful trade.

Last day of forward testing. Just closed 3 GBP signals short for 87 pips for today - all winners. I am done.

Over the last 5 days I have taken 31 trades with this system of which 24 (77%) were winners for a grand total of 510 pips. Best day was 187 pips and worst day was 40 pips.

The system is a variation of Bob's Rainbow concept, using CSS signals and MA trend filters.

I have thrown together a pdf that describes what I have called the Awfully Simple System in a bit more detail.

Also, I have attached the indicators that I use. The CSS indicator is of course on post #1.
