I can assure you that I have learnt my lesson and will never upset the Gods of Forex (unintentionally or otherwise).

How can you avoid upsetting them unintentionally? Dpn't we do that simply by existing?

Wrong. They can read our minds. We think, "Let's try trading Forex" and they start to giggle.

Then we spend 5 years studying charts, learning systems, attending webinars, occasionally driving miles to attend seminars, design our own systems.

Then, the moment we are confident enough to go long, the bastards send the market plumetting. After first sending it 20 pips in our favour just to kid us we are making progress.

As far as TRADING goes, I have not got a clue. But I have good knowledge of the occult, metaphysical and paranormal phenomenon and hocus pocus in general. We could employ variety of tools in order to avert the anger of the Gods of Forex (such as charms, spells, amulets, etc).

But IMHO what Bob described can be equally or even more effective. These being (I am Quoting BOB):

"1. trading small enough so no move in the market could kill me.
2. clearly identifying the different market moves.
3. final step was judging how strong/not strong those moves are."

We used to trade 10 cents for every $2000 a/c balance when we were practising recovery. That way even 4000 pip DD was just 20% of a/c balance. I think that is still a sensible lot size for 10.2.
