BALUDA'S SUPER CSS-2.0. THE SIMPLEST TRADING SYSTEM EVER

I took profit just above 1.12 after a few M5 candles showed M15 SuperSlope closed blue. I expected a bounce and had to go out this afternoon so took my profit and ran.

I don't labor too much about perfect exits... if a trade is in profit I'll hold out as long as I am watching and just take what I can get. If it's not in profit I'll either get out or hedge (depending where in the cycle I think price is) whenever I have to leave the screen.

I just got back home and my view is still short for as long H4 SuperSlope stays red so I'll look for another opportunity to jump in later once all the SuperSlope agree again but I'm more careful once I've had one or two trades in a certain direction especially when this move is just corrective. The D1 picture is still long so unless something radically changes I think once price finds solid support tonight it may rocket up again to end the week high.

BALUDA'S SUPER CSS-2.0. THE SIMPLEST TRADING SYSTEM EVER

Here's a GJ chart I am looking at right now... and I offer a little story.

Zoomed right out on H4 I see a BIG "W" on the final leg forming .. it's pretty loud and clear. Only two things to come from here... a break lower to break the "W" but that won't happen without a fight or a bounce higher to the middle of the W at least. Either way it's going to be huge and should provide direction for October.

If I take a view that there's a 50% chance price will bounce up then there are a few things I need to look for along the way.

1. H4 SuperSlope turning blue.

2. There will be opportunities to jump in and out following M15 and H1 SuperSlope on the first part of this journey once H4 SuperSlope is blue but nothing is confirmed and nothing is for sure during this first "wave". Scalping is the word. At this point I know my "view" may well be wrong, I'll be looking out for high impact news and I won't hold losing trades long.

3. Once first "wave" has formed and completed ideally with a higher low and tested support I start to breathe and believe my analysis might be right. This is a much easier time to look for entries. Online news stories would all be suggesting that GBPJPY is going to break lower and a lot of retail traders will be back in short at this point but I'd be waiting for M15, H1 and H4 SuperSlope all lighting up blue to jump in as price takes off up again. D1 CSS will still be ranging at this point.
(I still personally often get it wrong here, getting in too early, getting stopped out if I use a SL or feel like I am ending up with a hedge that never ends but if I am patient and wait for SuperSlope and price action to show the way I know I just have to trust there is a BIG move ahead and if I can stay strapped onto the rollercoaster it's going all the way to the bank).
I have learnt to use hedging rather than SL where necessary here because if I am wrong and a news story breaks price lower to break the W and shows my "view" as incorrect then my hedged trades will eventually bring profit. If my position size is 0.01 then I trade 0.02 in the opposite direction and then the initial direction etc until the move plays out either way. My total position size will only ever be 0.01 but whichever way price breaks I get paid.

4. Now we are into a corrective scenario like the way I have been trading EU this week. Time to readjust and be happy with smaller profits and see what comes next.

5. If price breaks out again in the same direction then D1 CSS should now also be shouting breakout ..this can offer the longest ride of the story but I watch for false breakouts too. Only buy above tested support or sell below tested resistance is a good rule here.

Peeps into Hurst cycles and Elliot wave theory may well be able to continue this story better than I so I'll leave it here for now but hopefully gives a picture of how I analyze and how I trade. The rest is practice and chance to write your own story  .......who's next?

The stripped down version has really helped with those display issues, thankyou for that.

I'm testing on H4 with one CSS set to H4 and the other D1, displaying just the H4 arrows. This appears to be a solid strategy alone but the levelCross lines (the 2.0 lines) are still important.

Sometimes you will get a down arrow on the H4 where the 2.0 line has been crossed but the D1 is not yet in sync because it's still calculating. In such situations it's worth a crack, maybe with a tighter stop above the high of the candle or similar. If you're trading the H4 arrows only when they are in sync with the D1 it can often miss the start of those big moves.

I was thinking it might be useful to have the functionality to highlight an arrow (make it bigger or bold) when the cross is outside the 2 lines (as this indicates a possible strong move), and not print an arrow at all if the cross is within say the 0.2 lines, or some value configured by user (indicating ranging where you might get a series of up and down arrows in a short space of time).

Here is an update of my previous dashboard which can help you to monitor CSS crosses on multiple pairs and multiple timeframes:
2016-09-28_1533.png
Settings are really straight forward, you can choose which timeframes to display and the number of bars back to display.

Blue color = ADR values

Green color = CSS up for the pair
Light green color = CSS cross up occur
Maroon color = CSS down for the pair
Orange color = CSS cross down occur

B0 mean current open bar of the timeframe
B1 mean previous closed bar of the timeframe
B2 mean the bar before…

Signal:
- the first square mean that the trends were aligned on the 3 timeframes for the previous bar
- the second square mean that the trends are aligned on the 3 timeframes for the current bar
If you want to have the signals for 2 timeframes only just input the same timeframes for Mid term and short term timeframes and you can limit the number of bars back to 1 on the short timeframes settings

A click on the pair label or on the second square (current bar signal) will open the chart of the selected pair, you can specify the template in the DB settings.

Dashboard is movable anywhere on your screen.
01 - Click to select the dashboard (a little square will appear in the top left corner)
02 - Let shift keyboard button and left mouse clicked and drag and drop the DB where you want.
03 – Unselect the dashboard to make sure display is correct

The file comes as a compiled file as I am using some helpers (mqh) to code.

Working perfectly on build 1010, windows 10, coded with editor 1384.
Dashboard tested on TradersWay which has a suffix “i” and working fine.

If your platform lag, you can try to change the numbers of bars back for the 3 timeframes (change to 2 for example) and you can also change the refresh timer to 30 seconds, also make sure to have history loaded.

I don’t plan to turn this DB into an EA, I have coded it to help monitoring.

As I don’t know where to post this tool feel free to move this post anywhere else.

That’s it.

Please redownload the DB first downloaders there was 1 glitich in signals.

Geko, thanks for a fabulous piece of coding.      It deserves a better fate than getting lost in what will become a gigantic thread.
