Basket Trading BALUDA'S CSS Crossovers

Hi again!
Here is the setfile I have put together so far.

Please use MCH 5.15.5 Draft for this one.

Here I use TradeHours for simplicity, but we can extend it with Sessiontimes later on as well.
I use CET so you may need to adjust your TradingHours to your local time time.
Then I set delay between trades of same symbol to 36000 seconds, 10 hours between trades, instead of one trade per pair per day. Hope that is an ok exchange.

I use CSSCross for H4, H1 and M15.
I have also prepared CSSDiff1, CSSDiff2 and CSSDiff3 if you would like to test them as well.
Then it is just to enable them.
Then there is a ExitCSSDiff on M15 as well.
And no TP, SL.
I have added automatic lotsize based on ATR. From there we can adjust the Factor to what is best.

I actually have a suggestion to maybe test Exit criteria on CSSDiff M5 instead as that may be much quicker in closing bad trades.

Sure although if you have been watching GBPJPY perhaps this afternoon will be a bit undecided as momentum runs out of steam with a final push to test resistance. And it is even more likely to be undecided since it will be outside of session than in session.

Session for GJ would include Asian and London but not USA. If the conditions are met during Asian then first shot should be the best.. if the conditions aren't met until London that's ok too.

The thing is you could trade this 24/7 on every pair but that will bring lower returns with more losers. We want the highest probability trades for each session and better to have increased lot size on the highest probability trades on fewer pairs than reduced lot size on more pairs just because the slopes line up.

Of course the best answer is let's make the restriction an option and then we can test both and see.

Just checked back on this as an example. Even though trading manually would still offer some profits with mechanical rules the 3rd trade would have been a small loss and I suspect the 4th opportunity might end that way too.. even though price is still pushing up it's just that bit more choppy out of session.

Ok great, I have setup and is working well and the dynamic lot sizing looks good. I have switched to just M15 CSS cross to get plenty of trades unfiltered today to try a few different exit ideas. Will setup a clean demo from Toyko open tonight with the initial strategy using H1 and H4 too and also use the session times. I just need to select that as an option instead of general trading hours right?

That is right, and you need to adjust the Open and Close hours to match your local time.
And maybe you want to shorten the Close hour as you may not want to open new trades near the end of the session.

And I agree that ExitStrategy is maybe even more important here.
I try with ExitCSSDiff M5, Min 0.0, weighsymbols false.

Just waiting for some exits but loving the results so far considering this is just every M15 signal on it's own.. +5% in less than an hour not bad for mid afternoon haha!

Here's what I propose about ££ contributions since it's so nice quite a few of us offered to chip in so quickly which is great.

Once this is nailed and working we could pool from everybody willing to chip in and split 3 ways.. Mathias for willingness to jump in and modify his dashboard to suit this project, Bob's chosen charity Compassion on behalf of Bob and Baluda without whom we would not have this indicator and Steve as a thank you for this space for us to share.

I will have to ask Steve but perhaps he'd be willing for us to all just chip in directly to him and we can trust him then to split the 3 ways.

Hope that sounds sensible, of course any donations are optional but I know I'll be trading this live and anyone else doing so has a good chance of making lots of ££ from this.

I for one agree with this wholeheartedly. I have watched and applied some of your strategies TJF and you could say I'm a fan and follower. This is absolutely amazing so far and I look forward to pitching in whenever and wherever I can.
