Thanks
Does the setfiles created in older versions work on the latest version.
Trevlig Helg!
Hi!
It depends on what features you have used before.
Read the correction history to find out as I have harmonized some names of settings.
And in one case now force a negative value, SL, where it was previously a positive value.

With my CSSDiff set file it, if I understand it correctly then at the close of every M15 candle the EA will open trades on any pairs where all 3 CSSdiff are the same i.e. above or below 0. When I test this next week I will be just using the session times so at the beginning of a session it will hopefully open trades on any pair where M15, H1 and H4 are aligned and keep checking every 15mins for any more.. this set file will open a LOT of trades and should capture the momentum at each session open really well. This approach may work better with a basket close and is then closer to what Zennor and Gertje were trying originally rather than waiting for M15 Diff to close opposite but either/or could also work well because any losers will be cut fairly quickly and the winners will run.

In fact when I just tried it now on all pairs I get lovely instant profit... and at this time on a Friday that's like lucky dip but it's fun
This EA is awesome! Getting my head around the settings. I have set this setfile according TJFs CSSDiff suggestion but using Brisbane times, and a basket exit of 1.5% TP AND 10% SL. Not sure if someone wants to double check my logic.

I am going to test this basket exit versus a M15 CSSDiff change.

Enjoy your weekend

Keith, you say that you are going to trade this using Brisbane times. I have looked at your set file and notice that you have:

Use Currency Session Times = False
Use General Trading Hours = True

But

Trading Times = Nothing in this box

So was wondering how you have set this up to use Brisbane times? :? Or have I missed something?

Hi guys,

Its very good and important that we do test this slightly differently to gather as much information as possible.
This way we can compare the methods and build a very profitable system together.

I am looking forward to next week and I will let both my demos run for the whole week.

Have a nice weekend :yahoo:

Thanks Zennor. Missed those as they are way up above where times for each session are actually set :hi:

Joe I was not aware that Mathias's EA was able to trade more than one candle per pair. I thought that it would only take one trade on the CSS Delta, Diff or Cross. I can see no settings in the EA which allows for multiple trades if all 3 CSS are the same colour..

If however the EA can trade more than one signal per pair then what I have done is set up two EA's with the same settings, no closing of trades just opening. One EA to take the sell signals and the other to take the buys and then set up a trade manager to manage the baskets this way you should be able to get Hedging..

It is actually capable of multiple trades per symbol now. If you set "Max open trades per symbol" to more than 1 and set the wanted candle timeframe.
But I think that TJF more had in mind that many symbols will open already from the start if you only use CCSDiff.
Note that multiple trades per symbol is not supported on the screen yet, but the logic behind it supports it.
And if you don't use any Exit criterias then it can also hedge.

Mathias that is brilliant thank you.. When I saw "Max open trades per symbol" I assumed that if you put in say 1 then it would only open one GBP or CAD trade for example.. I did not realise that symbol meant trading pair eg. GBPUSD.. Time to go and do some recalibration.. :hi:

I try to use currency for like GBP or USD and symbol for GBPUSD.
I have had inconsistency in AvoidNews and have therefore changed the naming so that it is now consistent.
If there are more incosistencies then I hope to correct that as well as it is two different things.
