Thanks Buddy, an enormous task I took on here indeed. At one stage I was up 900 pips and dropped and went up again and I see now down...an absolute phsyce game with me being tempted to hit the close button on numerous occassions.....nevertheless took my dogs for a walk instead

If I get the Ea to fall into the ebb and flow of the market I am sure results will fall in place.

Some trades could have been taken towards the end of a cycle and needs a knock before falling in place with a fresh opposite Hgi signal. Also end of month moves will certainly have an effect on this...

I continue with this test and will report my results at the end of the week.

Hello,
I hope somebody can help,
I've downloaded all the files I could find for the EA and tried several HGI_Lib files but every one is giving me the following error.

2016.09.29 09:30:32.118 MADTrader1.1 EURUSDbo,H1: Holy Grail Indicator Expired

Is it possible to zip up and post ALL the latest and correct files for this EA? As they seem to be spread all over the place, many thanks

Hi Guys,

Please discard my latest settings...absolute bollocks and a lesson in how to lose 7000 pips in a few days, luckily on demo

. When it comes to medium term strats I will just have to be more patient.

Nevertheless, mad trader is and was designed for scalping methods and I will just have to leave it there for now.

I am however working on something that hopefully can turn into something over a period of time.

On the bright side there are many exciting Ea's which I am turning my focus on like Steve's latest Hgb grid ea's, Geko's Css dash board Ea and Mathias's Ea.

Please feel free to share your findings here and I follow with interest.

Hi Guys,

Mad trader is and always will remain one of my favorite Ea's of all time.....after some time out I started testing again and great results going through the Us election. I am particularly interested in my 5 min Hgi results. Reasonable drawdown and good return....50 pip stoploss and 25 pip take profit...The emphasis on taking quick profits. Anyway guys results not cast in stone and results now, could be different tomorow.. will see. Testing will go on.

Will post my setfiles if anyone interested.

Good Stuff Leon.

Happy to give your setfiles a run down here and try a few variances on the theme.

Would enjoy running an EA that can chug along quietly, add to the booty in small increments and ultimately survive. Not interested in being a millionaire overnight so will look at the longer term options, not unlike your good self. Enjoyed this blog so will help to contribute to keep it going....

Sorry for only getting back to you now. Got caught up with other things today...

Here are my setfiles with the latest update.

I have been running my trades with Mptm set to b/even 5 pips after 15 pips and a jumpstop of 5 pips after breakeven is achieved.

Trades once again going well today.

Maddy Dash board:

Maddy v 1.7 Dashboard 101116.set

Madtrader V1.1 Ea:

3- Mad Trader 5 min Hgi.set

1- Mad Trader 5 min Ma stack.set
