Hi Holbroom,
It has nothing to do with different magic numbers. The initial trade is opened according to the Hgi signal for the currency pair you have placed the ea on and buys stops or sell stops are opened accordingly thereafter.
I suggest you observe the Ea over a period of time and more so, read the manual over and over again..and importantly have this on demo.
Questions like these will not be taken kindly by Steve... I can assure you.
Good luck on your journey
Cheers
Leon

Understood Leon,
I appreciate the work everyone puts in, if there was the option I would even donate to the cause, I'm not here to piss anyone off and will refrain from asking questions in future,
Many Thanks
Matt

Hello.
Most of those nasty little bugs that annoyed us for so long have been found. Version 2a is in the first post.
Please note that we have MondayStartTradingTime (default "02.00") and FridayStopTradingTime (default "12.00") as SERVER time now instead of MondayStartTradingHour, FridayStopTradingHour, AllowSaturdayTrading and AllowSundayTrading in LOCAL time. Please adjust them to your preferences.
Explanations and advices for the DIYers are here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 30#p147229

Looking for some comments on the ATR Grid auto calculation versus manual settings..
As per DB manual:
UseAtrForGrid: enables dynamic calculation of DistanceBetweenTradesPips
and will override you manual setting.
Manual setting was set to 5 pips. ATR Grid size is 28 pips
If I understand correctly, the trade pips should use the value from ATR. However, when I check the sell/buy stop, it is actually using the manual setting rather than auto grid setting from ATR. Can someone confirm on this?

My first post here. Please forgive me if this should go to DB thread instead of HGInDB. Currently trading live with it.

Hi,
the grid distance is calculated as the higher of 1/10th of the ATR and the minimum distance.

HGIDnB loved the GBP spike. Not a bad first half a week demo

The Full Hedge feature could really minimize risk, below is my demo account with Full Hedge turned on, it made a good gain during the GBP swing and kept the drawdown at a low level. The unhedged demo also made good money but with a DD 3 times higher.

First off I would like to say thanks to Steve & Tomele for all the effort you put in to coding these EAs. Your generosity is amazing. Also a big thanks to all the others who help out and contribute to making SHF a great place. :hi:
So, I decided to go live this week with HGBnD as I was off work from my day job this week. Opened a $3000 dollar GP account and started off on Monday. Throughout the week my equity was always below the start balance by about $60-70 with a low of $2884. This morning (Fri Aussie time)I was only about $20-30 below my starting balance and was looking to close out any positions that I could going into NFP and the weekend. Well, I just happened to come back to the charts right when the GBP flash was happening. I had a full hedge on the GBPUSD and when I looked at my charts my balance was over $4000 dollars
. I was was trying to figure out what was going on and then I hit the "Nuclear Script" as I thought "I'll take that for my first week of go live". Unfortunately, my Empty4 froze and the script did't run. I quickly started up the charts again and I was able to get out making $138 (4.6%) for the week. Very happy with that, but oh what could have been an unbelievable start.
Hope everyone survived the flash! I would be interested to hear how others came out the other side of it.

Hello.
I have uploaded version 2b to the first post. It fixes a problem where the bot gets stuck sending invalid orders in fast moving markets.
There are also new inputs for those traders that use brokers with more then 5 daily candles per week. You can now specify Saturday and Sunday trading times.
Explanation and advice for the DIYers are here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 29#p147429
