Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

'Shelley' is really amazing but coincidental with current trends. Took 2500 real pips in 3 days, incl 200 on NFP drop. Nanningbob's indicator with Steve's programming and Shelley & Verbs inspiration. Grateful thanks for a powerful combination. Set up 3 charts each with 'Shelley' but set for 10mins before start of Jap, Frankf & US sessions resp. Unfortunate, ComeWhatMayCloseHour cannot work for us as US start time is 2200 here in Aust. Need day as well as time, or at least - KeepAliveHours to work. Fantastic job Steve!

5. Obviously the question of drawdown is an age old forex conundrum and everyone has a different risk profile. I think it's highly unlikely that any strategy/system/EA will ever be able to perform without drawdown...we each need to manage this as best we can for our own personal risk profile, by ensuring our lot sizes are proportionate to our balance and that we stick to trading by the rules (whichever they may be) and that we trade on demo until we are absolutely certain & confident in the system.

In case such that the drawdown grow to a certain level that you consider, then you will close all orders assuming the loss or how you do it?

Shelley v1l OOTB made me 1.200 (Yes, that is one thousand two hundred!) pips today.

Pips!? NOT points!? What TP did you use?

OK, I gave up on S+G and went to classic Shelley. Told it to open at 1:00 local time, which would be 7:00 London = 10:00 crim time.
It opened trades at 05:55 local time (??) and closed them 2 minutes later (!?) for a -13.31 loss.

No wait, the trade record is in crim time, not local time. So it opened them at 5:55 CRIM time, which is just before 9pm local? I thought I started the EA later than that!

I ran it again at 7:36 local time. It opened the basket right on schedule, hit breakeven within 40 seconds (gotta love that!), and hit the 360 pip TP 11 minutes later. Nice!!

I noticed, though, that the locked-in profit (JslPips) never got above 840 points = 84 pips = 7 pips for each of the 12 symbols. The ProfitLock was 2 pips, JSL was 5 pips, so it seems it only jumped once. I don't see anything in the code that would cause that??

I thought I'd noticed the same Gary - one jump only but wasn't 100% sure.

I concur, v1q never worked but v1l did to the tune of 1183 pips. Last night from EDST 3AM (8AM London) and till EDST 08:37 AM (after news, it was good to be on the right side of the news). I used FXCM, FINFX & MBTrading.
