I've ended this experiment now as the M5HGI Trend and Delta was just building huge drawdown and had only managed to close 1 basket. Interestingly M15 Diff and Delta managed 15.
I wanted a reality check on how much difference the extra timeframe filters make and this was a fun test to see. The fact is the as expected the filters make a big difference.. and when the market is just ranging going knowwhere they stop the basket growing which is what we need.
My M15,H1,H4 diff and delta with M5 HGI all signals as trigger is performing well. It has kept the drawdown a bit lower this week so far which is what I was looking for.
Already +8% for this week so looks like we could be on for +20% again by the end
How is everyone else getting on?

Its funny you should ask. I started this yesterday around 0700 EST yesterday and have been getting killed by mostly GBP pairs. I am using your set file that you posted last. I see you are doing well I am wondering if i have something set wrong. I apologize for the problem with the screen resolution but i am using two monitors and for some reason i can get the larger monitor to work correctly using the suggest settings. Smaller problem then getting the actual proper configuration you are using to work, as you can imagine. I am posting my set file so maybe you can tell me what i am doing wrong. I should probably close out and start fresh. this is a live acct btw. All help greatly appreciated... :hi:

1H + 4H still marching along, both the full and partial loads.. A few baskets closed on both accounts and DD well within limits. Will post results at the end of the week..

I would suggest you start trying out this one on a demo account as we are still evaluating best settings.
And also for you to make sure it works as it should before going live.
I would think that it has to do with when you started it. Enable it at London open and let it run after that.
Mabe TJF have something to add.

thanks for the response Mathias, but more importantly thanks for the product! It's a small acct also. Btw how do you stop the ea from further putting on any trades once a certain level of margin has been used?

I would suggest you start trying out this one on a demo account as we are still evaluating best settings.
And also for you to make sure it works as it should before going live.

Start time really shouldnt make a difference because pairs are restricted to their relevant sessions anyway. I have several demos all variations on this theme and all doing well. Will check your set file when i get home.

That really does not sound right. Check your max trades per pair. If it more than 1 you have not loaded my set file. Basket SL cuts in at -15% and no more trading for the day. I have not hit this in 2 weeks testing but know it works because i tried with 0.5% to check.

I was thinking the same....Anyhow i appreciate the look over when you get a chance.
Just got home and had a look.. the only thing I can see different is your sesssion times but if these are correct for your time zone then it should be working fine. The only thing I can suggest is to set your pc or vps to GMT time, setup a fresh Global Prime demo and then just use this set file exactly. I have just taken it straight off my VPS again now to ensure no magic monkey has been tampering.
.....+5% this afternoon in the time it took me to drive to the gym and back. This takes the total for this week to just over + 13% and we are not even halfway through!
This really is my dream EA and I am not sure I can improve on these settings. Max Drawdown this week has been 5.8% and that is on a 500GBP demo that has increased to just short of 700GBP now since a week ago. Happy Days.
