Vertical lines anchored to time, pop up window shows next news item for that currency pair only in any given TF & time remaining 2 that news item in the popup description that appears as you hover your mouse over it. I have created the FFCalLines - indicator, (added to Post 1 of this thread), and included the source code (MQ4-file) to show how easy it is to do this.

wow, thanks a million Rene. That was super fast. Am liking it, the lines tell an unfolding story in the market.
Looking to edit the code to add these, tho am just a fledgling coder.

Am trying to add these that would be most helpful.

✔ dotted lines option, so that the lines don't hide the shadows (wicks) on any candle for us naked traders. I find the shadows are just as important as the candle body

✔ the pop up that appears when you hover over the mouse over past/future lines to include the data series on that news item: for example: previous 25bn, expected is 30b, outcome is 20bn. Calling data series to the pop up will focus the trader exclusively on the charts market reaction, not the news so much.

The observant eyes of Boulder (Aram) spotted a bug in the FFCalIndi indicator. This has to do with the correct interpretation/conversion of the times 12:00am and 12:30am to 0:00 and 0:30 respectively. The LibFF.mqh has been updated to fix this, but you can just re-download FFCalIndi.ex4 and FFCalLines.ex4 from Post 1.

Managed to find & change FFCal Line code settings that draw the !VLines in the background in dotted style. Unfortunately it hides the !VLine dates. Need help Incorporating these in the popup that appears when you hover your mouse over the line.
Am suggesting Acronym P.E.A (Previous, Expected, Actual)

These are very specific requirements and not necessarily useful for the general public.

I have added the Date.mqh include file to FFCalLines that contains a general purpose DateToStr() function, that takes a dateMask parameter. See the comments inside the Date.mqh file for the format of this dateMask.
