HGIMatrix

Anyway not even sure if it's possible or will add too much overhead but I thought I'd ask.

I'm not going to say that it is impossible, but we have already crammed so much information into so little screen real-estate, that this is not practical. In addition, HGIMatrix is an indicator, something to signal potential trade entries, not a trade monitor. I feel that we have to stick to the original purpose for HGIMatrix.

I have the same problem, matrix quit working.
I downloaded latest matrix indicators and I downloaded the latest "lib" file from the HGI forum like you instructed Mike above.

The message is HGI_V 17.00 is expired.

I tried HGIMatrixMTFv33.ex4 .

If you use HGIMatrixMTFv33, you need the custom indicator referred to by the HGIndicator parameter (Default: HGI_v17.00.ex4) in the \Indicators folder. This file should have an expiry date later than today's date.

If you use HGIMatrixMTFv33L, you need the library hgi_lib.ex4 present in the \Libraries folder. Also, this file should have an expiry date later than today's date.

You downloaded the lib file, but used the HGI-indicator version of the matrix.

It compiles fine on my machine (MetaEditor Build 1384). Do you really think I would post the file, if it would not compile?

Hi Rene,

I trade using HGI_v16.09 in a simular way to Alorante, I like to see that H4 and H1 are both in the
same direction, and then trade the M15 when it also matches.
But I note that HGIMatrix only shows the currency pairs whereas I like to spread trade the
Dow,Dax,Ft100, Gold and Oil as well as a few of the currency pairs.
Can HGIMatrix be used to show signals for these?
If it can then I will continue with reading the thread and hopefully understand more about it, as it will save me changing TF to see what's happening.

There is no code in HGIMatrix to exclude these symbols -- whether you are going to get meaningful signals from HGI for these symbols is another question. See below this screenshot where all symbols of the MarketWatch panel were included (by leaving the IncludeSymbols parameter blank):

Hi Rene,

Thanks for the reply and an illustration of a layout. Have spent the weekend reading all the thread, lots of clever things going on, many beyond the capability of my old brain to fully comprehend. So I am hopefully going to set things up as I'd like and see how I go, whilst re-reading the thread again.

I may be back with some comments and questions, but I will try and make sure they have not been answered before.
