Request for Bollinger / MA EA ( call it BB Power )

Dear Coders , :hi:

I need your help for this simple EA ( yet very effective )

Indicators required:-

1- Bollinger Bands ( default setting)
2- SMA 4
3 - RSI ( default setting)
4- Parabolic sar

Condition to enter long:

1- Bullish candle penetrates the mid line of Bollinger to the upside
2- SMA crosses the mid line of Bollinger to the upside
3- RSI is above the 50 line
4- Parabolic Sar is below entry candle
SL : set below the penetrating candle by 5 pips
TP : set @ 1:1.5 ( or use trailing - optional )

Condition to enter short:

1- Bearish candle penetrates the mid line of Bollinger to the downside
2- SMA crosses the mid line of Bollinger to the downside
3- RSI is below the 50 line
4- Parabolic Sar is above entry candle
SL : set above the penetrating candle by 5 pips
TP : set @ 1:1.5 ( or use trailing - optional )

Snowman, I was wondering like you. Asmahan, there is a meta EA called "AgilityTrader" for easy implementation of simple strategies. You can google it. Very easy to use. Possibly try it to check the profitability of your idea.

Not long enough to be frank with you , but the person who shared it freely with me is really doing well with it.
As a token of appreciation I want to make it as an EA and invite him to this great forum.

Back testing on many pairs would be an eye opener if this strategy would fly or no.

Back testing on many pairs would be an eye opener if this strategy would fly or no.

If you are referring to back testing using Empty4's Strategy Tester, then this is not going to give you much information about the profitability of your EA and strategy. Empty4's strategy tester is notoriously inaccurate, even if supplied with accurate tick data. Particularly, what Empty4's strategy tester can't do is:

1. Refer to price information on other timeframes eg. iClose(_Symbol, PERIOD_D1, shift) if the timeframe of the backtest is other than the daily timeframe.
2. Similarly, refer to indicator information on other timeframes than the backtest timeframe.
3. Refer to price information of other symbols (for a multi-symbol EA).

I'm sure there are more limitations. Because of Empty4 Strategy Tester's inability to produce an accurate backtest, it is colloquially known on this forum as Empty4's CrapTester. So, yes, a backtest could be an eye opener, but for the wrong reasons.
