Bob, when you and I first discovered that an individual does not need to be George Soros to trade Forex, we both read posts at FF that informed us that it will be years before we learn enough about trading to make any money. My guess is that we read these posts at about the same time.

Since then, you have continually developed trading systems and publishing them so that the rest of us can benefit from your insights.

Your analytical insights are every bit as breathtaking as, say, the coding skills of the super-coders here. Your kindness in sharing them with us marks you down as a very special human being.

I offer up my heartfelt thanks to you for sharing your work with the rest of us. The posts that will follow this one will shw that I am not alone in sharing this feeling.

I have no history with Bob. I hung out at FF only very briefly. I heard something about a NB10.0 system but I never looked into it.

So my experience is recent, but it's clear Bob has invested a lot of time and energy into developing his system. That's not unusual. But sharing it with everyone and helping people to benefit from his work, that's exceptional.

And that's the way we like to do things here. Welcome, Bob. You'll fit right in here.

I have been following BOB for more than 3 years now. He is a natural educator who enjoys more by giving than receiving. Lets face it he could keep all these systems to himself and he does not really need our input that much and if it was anyone else, they would have either kept the trade development to themselves or would have started a mentoring service charging x amount of money for sharing their knowledge.

BOB has a unique ability of breaking complex subjects into simple understandable chunks and communicating the subject in a clear and simple language. He is very patient and always replies to all queries with clear and comprehensive replies. I have actively traded his previous systems and it was only after following him that I started being profitable in my forex trading. I have thanked him privately and publicly on numerous occasions and I always feel I have not thanked him enough.

I found Bob courtesy of Steve's mptm instruction booklet (approximately 18 months ago), more specifically this last section on the last page:

super-dooper-filthy-stinking-rich-mega-trader, then you want to know about this. Even if
you are a sdfsrmt, you will be interested.
If you are a beginner, you really, really, really, really want to know about it. Go to

1. Read page 1 five times
2. Download the most recent zip and read the documents 5 times
3. Print out Marshy's summary for easy reference
4. Read the first 20 pages or so of the thread. Pay particular attention to Bob's posted
charts and answers to queries.
5. Read the last 20 pages or so of the thread to catch up with latest developments.
6. Practise on demo for a couple of weeks.
7. Go live and make money.

At that time I had never heard of Steve Hopwood, I found mptm from a google search because I was looking for a trade management EA, nor was I a beginner or a super-dooper-filthy-stinking-rich-mega-trader but I had spent a small fortune on commercial EA's that did nothing but suck my money away, I had blown 3 live accounts and was slowly, defiantly trying to claw my way back.

So, what can I say, the man said Go and Go Now! So I did...and I have never looked back, and I have not spent a single cent since on a commercial forex product, so thank you Steve for the push in the right direction

This was a link to Bob's 5.0 version and I read everything I could and it was the first time someone had actually resonated with me in terms of trading and being finally able to understand how price action works. It also showed me that there were some incredibly talented, generous people out there that were willing to share their knowledge for free & if I took the time to listen & learn, the answers were right in front of me.

I started trading this system manually making consistent profits and in time, Steve coded The Beast (and its various incarnations) as his automated version. To this day I am still trading the Beast profitably on my live accounts!!

Bob clearly has a passion for teaching, and his patience & ability to share with people everywhere constantly amazes me. Over time Bob has continued studying, perfecting and teaching his evolving trading methods which have now culminated in 10.2, which is looking every bit like the perfect system for all types of markets.

...and if our demo testing is anything to go by, I am sure it is only a matter of time that The Beast will go into retirement to to make way for his far more refined big brother .

So, thanks to Bob for an understanding and an education that I know will in time lead me to financial independence and for that I will be forever grateful


Also, to not acknowledge Steve's involvement would be wrong as well, so I'd also like to offer my heartfelt thanks to you too Steve, for your unending enthusiasm and commitment, your prolific & incredible coding skills that you openly and freely share with anyone that is interested and for maintaining this forum where forex traders from all over the world can gather to share, discuss and create in a positive and inspiring environment

I've been round for a while and traded the "Beast" in all its different variations.

I liked Al's thread on FF and 10.2 seems to be a massive upgrade on that.

I agree with Whip its hard to put into words the admiration for Bob's tenacity and dedication to the Forex cause and whilst we are at it lets say a big thanks to Steve for this fantastic Forum.
