will be of help. Note that Empty4 under wine will never run 100% correct.
I can't do here anything as the problem is not caused by HGI.

this is a problem on your back-end, you have to resolve it.rommark » Sun Nov 13, 2016 5:19 pm wrote:
Hi,
Thanks a lot for your feedback, question:
I see that arrows are OK but the "waves" are showing as "boxes" and installing fonts didnt help me here. Maybe you could allow me choose custom symbol code for waves to some symbol which works on Linux?
Thank you so much!
Hi sjpssjps » Mon Nov 14, 2016 10:32 am wrote:Hi guys,
thanks for this strategy. I have read the document and the forum a few times and I have made some demo trades. I am quite impressed with this method.
I just want to ask something. A lot has been said about the "repainting" (please hear me out first before jumping on me). I have also noticed that both the wavy lines and the arrows can disappear. It does not bother me as I understand that the market situation is constantly changing. I am trying a method that appears to help me filter these "false" alerts. I created a template for this indicator. When I get an alert (wavy or arrow) I wait for the candle to close, then I reload the template. I wait till after the candle closes, as the arrow can disappear before the candle closes. After I reloaded the template, if the arrow or wavy line disappear, I ignore the signal and wait for another. If the arrow or wavy line remains I take the trade. I have had some great trades so far.
My logic is that a signal that remains if you refresh (reload template or change time-frames) after the candle closed implies that the market situation is still favorable.
Could someone please advice me on my logic. Will this work with this indicator?

Hi sjps
I have been using the HGI on 1 hour charts using the same method with alot of success, so yes, this should be a sound method.

From what I understand, HGI is based off of indicators like TMA Slope, 60/240MA, etc.
Every time it paints a Trend arrow, I notice the price reacts within seconds of that arrow in the correct direction. It might be short lived (i.e. few seconds to a minute), but more often then not it moves a good 5-10pips in that direction every time!
Anyone else notice that? Maybe I've just been smoking too much MQL4 lately...
