I think we are pretty much there with the basic code. I have imported the experimental stuff into HGBnD and just need to watch it at work for a day before releasing it. This will form the shell that I can use to roll out updated versions of all the DB/HGBnD flavours over the next couple of weeks.

Everybody likes a good laugh at my expense.

I started adapting HGBnD for Mohamed's swing trading thingy. I am using HGBnD so that all its features are there for experimentation, but turned off by default so that only the swings are used in the trade opening/closing decisions.

I am no stranger to spending hours hunting down a bug in my code that is in fact caused elsewhere, but I excelled myself last night.

The bot appeared to draw the sixth lines whenever I changed time frames. Not at start up - just when I changed tf's. I would delete the lines; they would reappear the instant I changed time frame.

I glared at the code. I swore at the code. I threatened the code with eternal damnation. An hour passed and my language reached whole new levels of foulness.

Then I had a rare moment of lucidity. I bet you guys already know what is coming. Yup. I thought to check. I had left the Peak HiLo indi running on the chart.

Is there a way to calculate the MDD (Max Draw Down) the EA could run into?

I believe ATR*GridAtrMultiplier would be too much as hedging, offsetting etc. takes place.

I ask the question here as it is bot specific, feel free to move it to a more suitable thread.

Fully understood, sorry for having offended you and the other members it's the last thing I want. Afterward I feel silly myself and will refrain myself to further post. My enthusiasm for what you created here is so big that I got carried away. Please delete all my posts that do not qualify to the high standard of the forum and do accept my sincere apologies.

I have removed the experimental versions from post 1 as I have ported the relevant code sections across to HGBnD. I have updated the user guide.

I have called HGBnD version 1. I am as sure as I can be that Thomas has caught and squished the bugs and so do not anticipate making a lot of changes from here on.

It can be a but of a bugger getting the bot to display the peak hilo lines and chart feedback properly. If you experience difficulties:

• load the bot into the editor
• press the F7 key to recompile the code.

I am going to create the shell file this afternoon, so I can easily roll out updates of the various flavours of DB/HGBnD.
