Hi.

Here is a little new toy. Its idea is based on this post by Leon: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... 30#p152112. Some days ago, I explained these trading rules to my wife and she asked me to write an indicator that would advise her on the trades. I obeyed.

The indi is based on my PivotPearls from here: http://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3 ... =21&t=4737. It draws a daily, weekly and monthly bar togehther with the pivots right of the chart. Special about this version is the flexibility to choose how the bars are calculated. As an example, you can choose to calculate the monthly bar from the actual month, last month, last 4 weeks, last 20 days or last 480 hours. The indi can also display Leons trading rules for a given situation. At least those of them that I understood.

Play around and have fun. This first version might have bugs and I am happy about every feedback. Maybe we can expand the ruleset further or even implement different rulesets to choose from. Let me know your ideas.

Version 2 with some improvements and additions:
- Reworked the code, mainly for display improvements
- Added alerts for trend situation changes (surviving workstation shutdown)
- Added PreviousH8Candle (= previous session) as daily candle option

Version 3 with minor improvements and 1 addition:
- Added second ruleset that showed to be profitable.

I see a considerable number of downloads following my boost to Thomas' thingy in my wrup tonight.

You guys couldn't post a bit about it could you? Make him feel like has done something good here? He has, so maybe some affirmation would be a tad on the useful side? Thomas is one of SHF's brightest stars, after all. This forum would be rubbish without the likes of him.

Hi Guys,

Noticed the following.

I have just taken the color bars out so that I can match the indi with my Dwmpivots and all fine...

Wp>Dp>Mp so we are in a ranging period and I would place a sell limit at DR1 or 2 or a buy limit at Daily support 1 or 2. If Mp>Wp>daily pivot we are in a down trend. Hope I make sense.

Just something in addition. Today being the 2nd last day of the month could see some volatile moves so care should be taken

Nevertheless Gu trapped in a range for a while so will give this a shot. Ranging pairs tend to end close to the monthly pivot which acts as a magnet towards month end.
Edit Crumbs I just noticed that I placed the one buy limit in the wrong place, I deleted it.

Thank you all a lot for testing and giving feedback. You have pointed me to some errors in the calculation and display of the trading rules. That should work now. Please download new version 1a from post 1.

Is anyone playing with different bar calculations? I would be really interested in the results.
