The same result, except for GU and GJ, they were closed a hour ago as well. How is the strenght of each currency in the top EAs window calculated?SWG123 wrote:First Baluda trade closed successfully +28 pips long on UCAD.![]()
Also have open GJ and GU shorts.
I think it is going to be a very useful indicator. Good job

Can you please attach the Baluda currency slope strength indi as I seem to have older version with slope numbers not matching those on the slope strength indi. Yours both match. @figgir & @forexripper,
Some things to consider using my indicators with this EA:

Some things to consider using my indicators with this EA:
- Use the latest version of the indicators to be found somewhere in this thread.
- Use the same list of symbols in the indicator(s) and EA. The 'symbolsToWeigh' setting of the indicator(s) should match the 'PairsToTrade' setting of the EA. This guarantees the same SlopeStrength.
- Do not use F7 to change the settings of the EA. This is a general rule that applies to all EA's. Empty4 is picky in initializing variables. (@figgir, this is the cause of your problem.)

Re: Baluda Slope Strength auto-trader
Goodday All,
At he moment, 6/5/12 9:03 AM GMT, the SlopeStrength values are: This means the strongest currency is JPY, the weakest GBP. Let's have a look at the daily chart for GBPJPY: Please ignore the sell order line. Now I want only the lines for the currencies on the chart, set the appropiate user setting: Now we are getting somewhere. Now, how can we trade this? It is tempting to trade on a cross of the SlopeStrenghts of both currencies. It looks like we could have made 1.200 pips if we had made that trade on 3/3/12. But would that have been a good decision? Let's add a 0-level to the indicator: At the time of the cross both SlopeStrengths were above 0, indicating both were considered to be strong currencies. Should we really trade two strong currencies? It is better to trade a strong currency against a weak one. Check this: Here two levels have been added to the SlopeStrength -0.4 and 0.4. Remember that the NanningBob 10.2 system tells us that levels -0.4 and 0.4 are crucial. (NB 10.2 postulates this for symbols, here we are talking about currencies but the values of the SlopeStrength are average of the underlying symbols.)
Only taking orders for strong, above 0.4, against weak, below -0.4, currencies results in something like this: What we see are two orders (yellow trend lines). At the left an order was placed on 2/22 when JPY was weak (below -.04) and GBP was getting stronger (rising above 0.4). The order closed on 3/19 when JPY got stronger (and rose above -.04). Profit for this order was 620 pips. On the right an order was placed on 5/24 for a running profit of 450 pips.
This is (almost) exactly wat the Baluda Slope Strength EA does.
Mind you, the EA has its own calculation methods, it does not need any indicator attached to the chart.
Set it up, and keep it running.
