In all honesty, I would suggest you just observe the markets and stay out, or just stay out during the festive period. Liquidity is drying up as it normally does at this time of year, the market is a week away from the holiday period. Most institutions will wind back this coming week and will not accelerate until after the new year. Its a good time to take a break from trading and re-assess your priorities. The market is going nowhere and will still be there after the holidays.mejayusa » Sat Dec 17, 2016 10:42 am wrote:

Dear Gentlemen,
Be very wary this week we have FOMC, BOJ and even MPC rate decisions...! Close pairs before.
First Estimation:
Updated on week beginning:
Looking for arrows and trend waves to enter in these directions in H1 !
Cheers

Hello People!
So today I received a green trend arrow on AUDUSD 4H:
Subsequently, I checked the CSS:
AUD was gaining strenght while USD was indeed losing strenght.
I went long market on AUDUSD right after that. I am planning to leave on a ranging wavy line on close candle.
----------
Next, I received a green trend arrow on AUDCAD 4H:
(Unfortunately, the green arrow has already dissapeared in this scenario when taking the snapshot)
So I checked the CSS again and found that CAD is trending in negative territory and AUD - as mentioned - is gaining strenght and velocity in the positive area.
So I went long market on AUDCAD.
Since the buy signal has already dissapeared, I am now waiting for a counter signal to exit the trade or a confirming buy signal to remain in the trade.
If you have other ideas how to manage these two trades I would love to hear your thoughts about it.
Cheers!

The yen has been on the upward trajectory the past few days and the cable on the downward slope.
Netted 269 pips on GJ short today. There is some more room down for GJ, next major support at 139.00. So, wait for retrace next week to go short again. The AUS200 trade was a disaster. However, still net positive for the day.
BTW I do miss Bob's absence from this thread. Hope he can return with his daily CSS analysis.

Knowing when to trade a signal is sometimes more important then the signal itself. I like trading the beginning of a session. So when a signal comes during that opening hour it is almost always good. Just trading signals works but if you are getting in at the end of a session you are wasting your time. In my philosophy of trading I believe I talk about this.
Right now I'm traveling in my truck making good money so not trading. I did try trading blind. In other words the signal came in at the beginning of a session and I would take it without looking at a chart. I had a win rate around 80%. The problem I had was unexpected news. I didn't know they were happening and when I tried to close trades on a break 3 hours later I could be in big doo doo. Sometimes I'd be in a non-internet area and it be hours before I could close a trade. Well the after session retrace I would lose my gains or even lose on what we're winning trades. So I had to quit. I plan to go into semi-retirement by end of next year. Then I'll trade for fun in my retirement years. My house and truck will be paid for and we'll see what life is looking like then.
When I came back home from China we originally planned to live with my wife's parents and I'd trade full time but that didn't work out so I went into business and now travel the country. So three years and a paid off house seemed good to me. Closing in on my goals.
