Shelley's multi-pair basket trader

I haven't triggered Shelley yet as none of the basket pairs have touched the H4 5.1 MA.

I just entered a basket now as the 5.1 MA's start getting hit on the H1. I'm attempting to get in a bit sooner than the H4 5.1 MA Touch. I'm using smaller lot size as this is more risky than waiting for the H4 5.1 MA's, let's see how it goes.

I just read your trading process and it looks promising. What version of Shelley EA are you using? I don't see any signal from my indicator on H1 though. I can't wait to see your result. Are you trading real money?

Nope I'm demo'ing. I jumped in a little bit early, probably should have waited a bit. Wait for those 5.1 MA's to get hit and then set Shelley off.

Just quickly - after todays initial move where we captured pips the bastards all moved back to the opposite H1 TMA band. Which means there could be another trade on your hands if your ballsy I'm going to sit this one out!

Guys my setup has come again. If anyone is following I will be triggering Shelley as soon as the 5.1 MA's start getting hit again.

Hi Jemook, I'm following your setups with interest , waiting for moving to the 5.1 Ma looks like a heavy filter to me, but it will give you some time to train on the Jemook shuffle
My time based Shelley took this morning before Frankfort open the following trades: cad/Y chf/Y gbp/Y gbp/usd and usd/cad.
Only the usd/cad is a buy .
did a little rain dance and it starts drisseling outside and the basket slowly moved to green !!

Lets see how she perform's this morning.

Simple Shelley sees 7 possible trade setup for today based on daily TMA slope.
Long: CADJPY, CHFJPY, EURJPY, GBPJPY, GBPUSD
Short: USDCAD, USDCHF
But slopes on lower time frames H4 and H1 showing just the opposite.
Since the markets are retracing shall we base our trading decision on those time frames?
I mean H4 and H1.

I open long positions on those currencies that show TMA slope > 0.8 on H1 and > 0,4 on H4.
Long: AUDJPY, AUDUSD, EURJPY, GBPJPY, NZDUSD, NZDJPY, USDJPY.
Time: London opening.
TP and SL: 50 pips.
Already + 100.

Stopped out -350. Lucky I went in half my usual lot size this time. Silly of me to enter on the H1 5.1. I will wait for the H4 5.1 next time.

Not using SJ yet but still demoing S.

Being setting demos for the following:

- S without any filter - trigger JPopen, LDNopen, NYopen - TP/SL 55/55 - BE 25/10 - JSL 15 - forceclosing all trades 3 hours after basket triggered;
- S with SCTF = 60M - threshold 0.8/-0.8 - rest same as above;
- S with SCTF = 60M - threshold 0.4/-0.4 - rest same as above;
- S with SCTF = 30M - threshold 0.8/-0.8 - rest same as above;
- S with TMATF = 60M - rest same as above;

They all run in parallel. Since yesterday, S without filter has only been closing losing baskets.
Some S+filters have been closing smaller losing baskets and some other S+filters have not traded yet.
Sorry guys I am at work quickly writing this and I don't remember which S+Filter did not trade yet. Anyway, I would rather report towards the end of the week so that I can draw a better picture. I look forward to the trend resuming to see whether the S+Filter which have not traded yet (i.e. keeping me out of trouble a tthe mo) will start trading profitably......at least that is the idea

Next, I am thinking demoing S starting LDNopen only with a selected filter and let it run all day until it hits TP or SL.

Here is ShelleyJem with most of the data-gathering in place. Fascinating to see how it would have kept us out of the basket. She doesn't trade yet.

Logic fuzzy alert. Help, please:
if BasketSize is the total of all pairs whose Slope is either buy and hold or sell and hold
and TradablePairs is the total of pairs that pass all the retrace filters.

If BasketSize = 4 and TradablePairs = 2, we all know that 50% of the potential basket is actually tradable. I know that. You know that. The cat probably knows it.

How the blue blazes does the EA calculate it. What's the mathematical formula? Buggered if I can work this out.
