You are correct. Paul coded the library before CrapT5 and OOP came along. All my shells have "." replaced by "_".MathiasJ » Sat Aug 20, 2016 10:42 pm wrote:Thank you Baluda for this impressive library!![]()
I have used it successfully with some modifications.
I have never seen the dot "." in variable names and function names before, at least not in MQL4.
Have I missed something here?
What I did to use it was to replace all "." with a "_" and then it compiled.
Some samples:
bool libCSS.useOnlySymbolOnChart = false;
void libCSS.init()
{
libCSS.initSymbols();
...
For me it worked when I changed it like this:
bool libCSS_useOnlySymbolOnChart = false;
void libCSS_init()
{
libCSS_initSymbols();
...
I develop in Empty4 since 4+ years.
How have other developers done when using this library?

Mathias

Hi Paul,
Besides the cosmetic changes (such as arrows), iMA (21 > 7), iATR (100 > 50) what else has changed between the original CSS and the latest and greatest superCSS?
I tried introducing the above variables (iMA, iATR) into LibCSS but I am getting some really strange values.
Cheers,
BobbyT
PS: I have noticed that although the indicator values to not change for a given bar (in the data window), when the bar is called through time it reports different values. This occurs regardless of cache purging or not.

Further to the above, will there be an update of LibCSS released specifically for SuperCSS?BobbyT » Tue Sep 20, 2016 11:28 pm wrote:Hi Paul,

Thank you Paul for the awesome libCSS! Just what the doctor ordered for my EA
I'd be curious about BobbyT's questions as well - i.e. the recent SuperCSS uses iMA 7 and iATR 50. Are those better settings than the original of 21/100? If so, is it a simple matter of just changing these in the mqh?

SuperCSS is a mod by Bob, it uses 7 and 50 for the MA and ATR . The original CSS values has 21 and 100. Those cryptic 231/21/251 values in GetSlope() in are hard coded for the original MA and ATR.

Hello,
I thought I'd share a port of the old LibCSS to MQL5. It compiles as-is in both Empty4 and MT5 and it works great. I refactored some code (making it real OOP among other things), added a flag to calculate ala SuperSlope, and added a couple result methods.
Included is an indicator (LibCSS5Test) that shows how to use it, and also a chart template to check values to CSS and SuperSlope indis. Download is attached (and on Github).

What does 231 and 251 refer to in above statement?
