Are you still getting 50%/day with your M1 settings? I'm having trouble duplicating your success.

I average a dozen or so small winning trades and then one losing trade that is 10-15x larger than the individual wins leading to overall drawdown.

After reading the theory behind Peaky my tendency would be to allow these losing trades more room to eventually reverse, so I'm wondering if I should reduce minMarginPercent. What other setting would have an effect on the closing of losing trades? Trade1StopLossPips = 0 I assume turns off the stop loss. UseSixthForTrade1StopLoss = false also turns off any s/l. That seems to be it, unless I"m overlooking something.

Bellow my M5 PoS results simply AMAZING. Remove the 9800€ eurusd trade as I had a setup mistake on the lot size. Or simply look at the pips

EDIT: added my set file upon request even so in this early stage we would all benefit from testing different setup and giving feedback rather than copying each ones setup.

Here is a setfile from a live account this week, 4.5 % up 7% DD tonight but this may help where PoS 'doesn't work' (it does) as a starting point re Pairs to trade, positive swap etc. This is not any sort of recommendation but just a set that works today for me.
I am using Steve's DFC dashboard to select pairs to look at, then PoS in the 'pairs to trade' line for those that I would trade manually, it would be easy to put M1 in place of H4 either both ways or positive following the HTF's etc etc

Reminder to myself:
Take whatever it gives. I am running a M1 (10 pips TP) scalper demo. And there was a decent 10% equity (balance of open and closed trades) gain since last week. And I thougt well let´s see how it´ll work out and didn´t close the trades over weekend. And didn´t close the trades when the gain was again at 10% after a lot of DD at the beginning of the week. Now back to zero

After my hollidays I will start a new demo with trading only from monday to wednesday not waiting for the thursday reverse.

Hi Guys,

Prelim results, and as I have mentioned before. Peaky on the 4 Hr timeframe has been good. 1hr is getting its mojo ever so slightly. As said before 5 and 15 min's have been disastrous for me and 1 min is chugging its way and looking good this week.

Heads up with the 4hr timeframe, excellent reward and I am looking at a longterm relationship with this. Henceworth going onto the hourly timeframe, stable and nothing to write home about but conditions of course will change at some point and I am sure that we will all be smiling.

I currently only have 1min,1hr and 4Hr set to true as the trade imeframe.
All by the way is Otb settings with the exception of the above settings.

Can someone help me out figure out the reason of this closures?
This are two closures that I had,

BTW, all this trades closed are H1 trades, as per the comments.

As you can see, this settings are:

Trade1TimeFrame=1
Trade2TimeFrame=5
Trade3TimeFrame=15
Trade4TimeFrame=60

and

Trade1TakeProfitPips=10
Trade2TakeProfitPips=20
Trade3TakeProfitPips=40
Trade4TakeProfitPips=60

On the other hand, the recovery is set up as follows:

rec=---- Recovery mode ----
TradesToConstituteRecovery=3
RecoveryCashProfitTarget=6
RecoveryCashPercentageTarget=1.0

So.... i'm trying to understand (first of all) why were the TP's modified to close for a total of $32.82 (I suppose has something to do with recovery?) but it was supposed to close at $6 as per my settings. BTW; it's a 50'000 USD account so even if it was "%target" closure overriding the cashprofittarget, it wouldve been $500 so I don't think that's the cause of the closure.

Sorry if this is a stupid question, am I missing something out?

I have added more functions to PoS, into a version for code testing. Full details in the user guide and coders' notes. Brief details in post 1.

It feels as though my H1 trades are going to be in DD for the rest of my life, so I popped PoS on the account to trade the M1 at 0.01 lots with a 4 pip TP just to generate some profits, however tiny. I had the TP set incorrectly at the start of the week, so a couple of the trades had a sixth as the TP:

The two losers prompted me to add the option to turn off opposite direction closure. It only takes a few seconds thought to work out why opposite direction closure is inappropriate on the shortest time frames.
