I'm now wondering if 9 columns are really needed.
I've setup on UC as an example we were discussing. I'll screenshot when D1 Superslope moves to range and/or next breakout either way and maybe helpful to read your matrix at those snap points to compare.

The naked trader in me is a buyer now based on H1, H4, D1 Peak Low and Monthly resistance.

The indi trader is me shouts caution because of D1 Superslope

.. so let's see how it plays out :)

Well, I was in profit for a few hours, then the next time I checked, I had hit my stop loss. Take a look at what 9x9 is saying now. They all can't be winners ..

Hi Dwain,

I was studying on the CSS indicator at the weekend and I have seen 9x9 Super CSS Indi which took my attention and I have decided to check it for the first trading day. First of all, it looks nice and I think, it is promising in order to have a general overview about the pair, we have to test it to find out more.

I have uploaded my screenshot for UC at 12:15(GMT+1) and it is attached <<USDCADDaily.png>>. Frankly speaking, I don't have a look to M30,M15,M5 and M1 values in the matrix, but there are slight differences on higher TFs (H4,D1,W1,MN1) which are due to the server data, I think.

Moreover, I took the datas (only H1, H4, D1, W1 and MN1) to spreadsheet at 10:00 and 12:00 (GMT+1) and plot to two charts to see what is going on about the slopes of the curves visually on each timeframe. Please see the attached files USDCAD_170717_10_00.jpg (at 10:00) and USDCAD_170717_12_00.jpg (at 12:00).

What I see on these plots are;

1- Monthly slope is still decreasing, CAD is getting stronger compared to the previous month.

2- Daily and weekly slopes are heading to the zero line, which means to me that CAD's strength is getting weaker compared to the previous day and week.

3- H1 was flat at 10:00 and H4 was going to the zero line which again showing that CAD's strength is getting weaker. At 12:00, I see that CAD is getting stronger again as H4 slope is Flat and H1 slope has entered the below zero zone (just after touching your S/L level)

In conclusion, may it be a better idea to enter positions by comparing the slope values of the last bars (the first column) and/or comparing the slope values on the same row (timeframes)? May be the moving average of last n bars vs. the actual slope value.

I will be thinking on it.

To follow up on the CPU usage. 28 pairs open with 9x9 on them, Empty4 is using between 2 - 10 percent. This tells me a dashboard is very doable.

EDIT - Umm .. the market is closed .. oops. I'll look at the CPU usage next week.

Hi gunaydines,

Thank you very much for your input and analysis! This is exactly the kind of research that will make 9x9 a real trading tool.

As I mentioned in an earlier post, the 2.0 strength is the key .. D1, W1, & MN1 are all below -2.0. While D1 and W1 are headed to 0, they are still stronger than the -2.0. This, I think is key to reading 9x9. With all of the pressure being released on the bottom of the bubble, I believe the pair will be going short for some time to come (days). As I'm writing this .. it appears it's going to break the 50 fib line. I've even got money on it.

.. be careful. Appearances can be deceptive. IMO this month needs to close below that FIB and that would also mean MN1 SS would close below -2.0 before considering more selling.

I think more likely is that price will rebound higher and MN1 SS will not close below -2.0.

It took a fair bit of negative USA data and the CAD interest rate rise to get this pair to test this FIB (for the 2nd time in just over 2 years). So what would it take to break this Fib? 50% Fib on MN1 chart is about as strong as support can get?

Well, just got clobbered for the second time. Hit my stop loss.

This is what I'm seeing, when the lower TF strength went to +20 and the Middle TF strength was -19, this was enough pressure to overcome the middle. The lower TF kept going and soon over came the Higher TF strength (+50 vs. -44) This was when I lost the position that was taken at -200 total strength. If I had closed the position when the lower strength was at +20, I would have been in the money.

Now we have a H4 candle closed blue with the standard Superslope and the matrix is almost 50/50 in a diagonal so the next hurdle for a long view is for D1 Superslope to cross over and that would be confirmation then that perhaps the monthly range is intact and price has support for now.

I always try to remember some old advice to only look to buy AFTER tested support and only look to sell AFTER tested resistance. If trading from the extremes I think this is even more important. In this case that would mean price has to break the 50% fib then test it as resistance and fail before looking for shorts. Right now support seems to be holding so once D1 Superslope is blue I will be looking to buy on dips/Flying Buddhas.
