Great advice TraderJoe! Thank you so much for testing 9x9.
TraderJoeForex » Mon Jul 17, 2017 11:28 am wrote:Now we have a H4 candle closed blue with the standard Superslope and the matrix is almost 50/50 in a diagonal so the next hurdle for a long view is for D1 Superslope to cross over and that would be confirmation then that perhaps the monthly range is intact and price has support for now.

I always try to remember some old advice to only look to buy AFTER tested support and only look to sell AFTER tested resistance. If trading from the extremes I think this is even more important. In this case that would mean price has to break the 50% fib then test it as resistance and fail before looking for shorts. Right now support seems to be holding so once D1 Superslope is blue I will be looking to buy on dips/Flying Buddhas.

D1 now testing the start of a range. M15 looking like Level 1 on it's way up but we need a higher low when it comes later rather than a break lower. Today could be the decider anyway.

Also matrix starting to look more green...

Made some minor changes to 9x9 .. added strength color setting (default is red, yellow, lime). Also add GridOrderAssending setting (default true) will list the grid starting with candle 0 in the first column to candle 8 in the last. Change it to false and it will reverse the order (candle 8 in the first column to candle 0 in the last).

Update is in post 1.

Nice.. will update, thanks.

Our test market USDCAD is still no clearer hey?! Both CSS definately still short says the majority vote but boy is it looking overextended. I wonder which bit of upcoming news is going to be the dynamite to push it either way :?

Please do test the indi .. I'm still trying to learn all of it's secrets. I'm starting to lean more and more towards the first 2 column strengths to tell me the story of the pairs direction. I really like to see the strengths increasing for a long or decreasing for a short with the strengths just moving above the 2.0 or below -2.0 levels. These are the perfect setups for a big move. I'm now wondering if 9 columns are really needed.
Hi Dwain,

Thank you for sharing this indi.

Would you please sharing how you read the first 2 column strengths which tell you the story of the pairs direction?

I am new to this reading, so I appreciate very much if you can help me with that.

Thank you in advance.

Hi Vu,

You are more than welcome for the twist on a great indicator by nanningbob, BaIuda, and Gary. I would be more than happy to show you how I trade. (It's more involved than just looking at 2 columns) :good: First you must understand this is my system of trading. It may not fit yours. I scalp on the H1 TF. So all of the screenshots will be on this TF.

Step 1. I look at the 10.7 CSS.v2.0 12 pairs_6xx indicator for the strongest and weakest currency and for any pairs that are about to cross. (This is a different subject and will not be discussed here.) Here is a screenshot.
10.7 CSS.v.2.0 12 pairs_6xx.jpg
As you can see, CAD is the strongest and EUR is weakest on the H1 TF. So, let's go look at the EURCAD pair.
Live trade EURCAD.jpg
You can see I have already been here and took 3 positions .. Why did I take them? Lets look at 9x9 a little closer.
9x9 Explained2.jpg
H1 and H4 are very good signals. See how H4 went from -1.9 to -2.5? This is a very good signal because the strength broke the -2 level. I may even hold these trades until tonight.

Like I said in the beginning, this is my style of trading and in no way should be tried on a live account!!! This method is for scalping and may lead us towards longer trades. Most of my trades are closed within a few hours.

Hope this helps,
Dwain

This is a follow up on the EURCAD trades. I closed the positions for news and now I've reopened them for at least the next 4 hours. H30/H1/H4 is looking very good on 9x9 with total strength less than -200. Does the support line look strong? I think it is going to be broken.

Thank you very much, Dwain.

Your example about EurCad trades is very helpful to me.

Hope that I can contribute to this thread very soon.
