Welcome back, its good to hear from you. Apparently your time was well spent. I look forward to working with you again. I'll start testing this week, looks like a completely different aspect & approach to the CSS. I was viewing three BSSs on the bottom of my charts but this Dashboard completely overshadows that process.

Best Regards
Ray
Hi Dwain,

Well done on a well thought out system. This almost reminds me of Maddy where we looked for strength over various timeframes. This used to perform well in trending markets and my my did the pips roll in when the trend run was on. Just something to be cognisant of. We could be seeing some change overs on the higher timeframes as far as Superslope is concerned . We are either ranging or the swing is already in progress. Therefore do not despair as the Ea will fall in line. My thoughts would also be not to have the Big picture close on for trade closures but rather have a particlar timeframe for closures Ie the daily time frame change in direction as the closure or whatever timeframe the user selects. You may have lots of small closures when this happens but if the trend run starts you could be in for a great reward.

You are onto something good
Stick to it.
Cheers

Hi Dwain.

Thanks for reply.
But can you explain me please, where I find 9x9 grid when I optimalizing?
I think, that visualization working only for backtesting...

Thanks.

9x9 uses all of the timeframes to measure strength. In order to have all TF's available to the optimizer, you will need to set the Period = M1. Watch the grid in 9x9, if you see 0 in any row, stop the optimizer, set the period to the missing row TF, start and stop it again and then restart on M1.

BigPictureClose was removed as it was giving back to much of the profit. Use TakeProfit, StopLoss, TrailingStop .. ect

Many many thanks for sharing your work.
I try optimize your EA. But in V2 missing variable BigPictureClose.
My results show just 2-3 trades from 2016.12.22 until today. I think that is incorrect, or no?

Many thanks in advance.

Wavegarrick,

Thanks for the words of encouragement .. my brain is so fried from coding this weekend I can't think straight .. or should I say "see the trees thru the forest". It's time to take a small break and let the forward test run.

I think one thing missing is a look at the amount of price movement compared to the amount of strength divided by time. This would be a different way of looking at volatility and would indicate a good trade compared to one that isn't going anywhere. I'll be thinking about after my break. I need to go brain dead right now.

Yes, you will need to visually backtest to see if you have all of the TF's for optimization .. sorry I wasn't clear about that. No, that doesn't mean I'm endorsing backtesting. Just use it to see if all TF's are in the grid.

Hi Dwain. Thanks again for the update.
The bot 9x9.v2-have opened 3 trades for every tradable pair. and almost the same time. Could it be that each trade is for a different tf. Or is there a bug.

Monty i experienced the following: you can set specs for these following 2 orders under
Max orders = max orders
NewBarTradeTimeFrame = default at 1m which means that second order is opened 1 minute after the
first or at new 1m candle open. I've set mine at 15m currently so that a small spike won't affect it.
Thinking to put it on 30m. But probably when the trade is opened the 14th minute of the 15m timeframe probably will open the next trade the 1st minute of the next bar but so far didn't test that.

thanks,

Pete

Ouch~!! What a BAD idea it was to removed the BigPictureClose setting! Update in post 1.

I have changed some of the OOTB settings to a more comfortable level.. I'm also working on an optimized per pair setting .. so when we find the right settings for a pair, we can put them into the EA.
