With the M1 basket set as is
the max DD seems to be something like 120 pips

Can someone please confirm this:

Steve's Awesome M1 Basket.set use
Trade1AsBasket=true
Trade1BasketCashTarget=5

I'm assuming this is based on a 10'000 account as per
Trade1Lot=0.01
Trade1LotsPerDollopOfCash=0.01
Trade1SizeOfDollop=10000.0

Now it will obviously be easier to reach Trade1BasketCashTarget=5 when trading bigger lot size.

If this is the case then Trade1BasketCashTarget=5 should be scaled up or down based on the equity account size?

So before you get flamed .. RTFM(if you don't know what it means... look it up!) for the first part. BTW my hats off to Steve and Co for the amazing documentation, thank you so much for taking that time.

In my test account I am using Trade1SizeOfDollop=1000.

secondly, i think Trade1BasketCashTarget=5 is $5.0. Which is OK for a 1k account but i don't think it makes sense for a 10k account.

if you are using dynamic sizing its better to switch to percentage which i set at 0.5

also in the M1 set global bucket is switched on.i forgot to change it there as well...

OK, as everyone here seems to be saying, THIS is AWESOME!!!! :hi:

I set basket close at 1% and it is a very Awesome thing to see baskets closing left and right. It just closes and starts a new batch! Awesome...LOL

In only two days this is what has happened so far.

This demo had a balance of about $965 when I started "awesome" trading on it.

Thanks for the reply. I'm well aware of the forum rules and did read the manual.

My post was more about discussing the value set in the set file for the basket closure of 5 with other members.

My demo account equity is 100k and I dI'd not change the value of 5 and trade 0.1 lots and still had those awesome results which made me wonder how to replicate those results on smaller account size.

While like you the first approach would be to use the % option I believe this would change the current EA behavior.

Therefore I believe that for smaller accountsize the 5 value would need to be scaled down to match current results and keep the relation of lot size to Trade1BasketCashTarget

This is what I was looking to discuss here with others

Edit: based on Steve's 2nd post he is trading a 10k account at 0.1 lot resulting in the basket cash value of 5 so if trading 0.01 lot the value should be decreased to 0.5

Edit 2: minimum value for Trade1BasketCashTarget is 1 no decimal accepted

This is a total dynamic discussion on its own, and I dont think worthy of detracting from the thread. One thing I have to say is that If I had a 500 dollar investment for example I would make my dollop .01 for every 500 dollars and look at only max trades at 3 or 5 and thats becoming risky. Obviously take profit would become adjustable at say 1 dollars or so. We have to be realistic. Well 100 000 dollars is totally unrealistic and I want to slap you for that

My demo account equity is 100k

One thing we have to know. It is one thing looking at a sterling demo account of 10 000$ but we have to be realistic and match it to what we can afford.
