Steve - just to confirm, when I choose the Multi TF TMA it can (for example, short) be at the top of H1 tma OR H4. It doesn't require them to BOTH be at the top, correct?

and only after this to cross descending 5.1 MA's

and only after this to cross ascending 5.1 MA's
Please see bold bits. If price is at the opposite H1 OR H4 TMA band it is still counted as being 'retraced' especially so to the H4.
Steve - you are a legend! This is a fantastic toy to play with.. I'm gonna have so much fun with this one. I can't believe you hooked this up so quick. Guys I hope you all understand what a gun Steve is with coding - this EA is THE SHIT!
SJ isn't quite coded correctly for the mtf TMA's. At the mo, it confirms a buy when the market gets to the lower line of either tf, not the lower of the H1 or Upper H4. I have to go out for a bit now, but will fix this in a couple of yours.
I typed that last paragraph and then realised that I still could not make any sense of what you are saying. Then I realised you are actually describing two retrace scenarios. For the buy trade:
- - Scenario 1): market hits the bottom H1 TMA, so it has retraced and we can wait for it to reach the 5.1 on its way back up.
- Scenario 2: market has reached the upper H4 TMA band and so has risen a long way. It needs to fall back below the 5.1 before it can be considered to have retraced sufficiently to be tradable.
Read the effing manual, ok?

OK. So what I read in code, Steve, is that you dont' check MA crossing AFTER TMA HitJemook wrote:Phil, incorrect.

and you use the same function TmaTrueFilter so you akways check TMA H1 or H4 > Upper or TMA H1 or H4 < Lower

It didn't, but it does now. Either H1 OR H4 will do the job.Jemook wrote:Steve - just to confirm, when I choose the Multi TF TMA it can (for example, short) be at the top of H1 tma OR H4. It doesn't require them to BOTH be at the top, correct?

Re: ShelleyJem. Fantastic collision of accident and analysis
Ok so I just launched my first test batch for fun, woohoo! However, it says AUDUSD is TMA = buy but price is at the top TMA on H1 and H4 and it should be at the bottom TMA band. Looks like a whoopsie Steve? What do you reckon.

only sell GBPJPY and sell GBPUSD
do you confirm Steve analyse Jemook :

Re: ShelleyJem. Fantastic collision of accident and analysis
Read this
- H1 and/or H4: looks for a touch/break of the lower Tma True (not to be confused with the 10.2 Tma Slope) lower line for a buy trade, upper line for a sell - at any time within about the last 8 hours. This confirms a retrace has taken place and we are not trading on the wrong side of it.
