Peaky on Steroids

While waiting for some movement, I fired up an FXBLue link for my demo account trading PoS on the H1 and H4.
Note that in the beginning, I traded M5 and M15 as well, and killed all those open trades on the 14th of July, to start fresh the 17th. This is the reason for the losing day and week in the history.

After doing some number crunching using the 'comments' at the trades I came to an astonishing conclusion;

timeframe H1 / H4
number of trades: 101 / 36
nett profit: $1.772 / $1.494
swap: $-272,75 / $-33,67
commission: $-75,95 / $-29,89
max equity drop: 13.3% / 2.8%

Based on this history from the last 6 weeks [17th july till now], it seems only logical to quit the H1 and only trade the H4 with double the lotsize.

I'll keep posting updates.

Great results Gertje! Agree H4 performance is much better at the moment, just IMHO the number of H4 trades is still too low to exclude randomness.

Actually H4 should work better because it is high/low of previous 1600 bars. Forex is a market and Peaky works because when is reached peak high or low the price is kinda bargain for those who have to sell or buy respectively.

The low of H4 is less then the low of H1 and viceversa for highs.

Find Sixth as Bands modded on this forum and do some visual backtesting and you'll know what i mean.

P.S. But it can be the case that there are some fundamentals thingy that will make a currency stronger or weaker and the peak high/low of previous 1600 bars (as an exemple) will be breached and the price will go higher or lower. So Peaky works sometimes and sometimes it don't.

If I set '0' as magic-# in the EA, and enter the corresponding text in the comment field with manual orders, will PoS manage these manual trades as well?
Will PoS place recovery orders, and such?

I knew that already, just wasn't sure because PoS uses both the magic AND the comment to handle trades.

I like the way PoS trades and makes use of recovery, but now and then I have an different opinion than the EA, and like to be able to intervene manually knowing the EA will handle the trades like its own.

Also, I started entering on the D1, using PoS only for the recovery part.
