I knew that already, just wasn't sure because PoS uses both the magic AND the comment to handle trades.

I like the way PoS trades and makes use of recovery, but now and then I have an different opinion than the EA, and like to be able to intervene manually knowing the EA will handle the trades like its own.

Also, I started entering on the D1, using PoS only for the recovery part.

Just to make this explicit: both PoS and Awesome:

• know which trades they 'own' from their magic numbers:
  • each individual time frame has its own magic number.
  • each EA will assume it 'owns' a trade if it finds a trade with a magic number that is also 'owns'.
• there are circumstances where the trade comment is required to tell both/either PoS and/or Awesome which time frame generated the trade. Never mind why. Just accept this.

So, supposing you have a trade with:

• a a magic number of 100.
• a trade comment of "M1".

Then you have either Awesome or PoS with, say, Trade1MagicNumber = 1 and Trade1TradeComment = "M1" then either or both of Awesome or PoS will manage the trades.

Enter trades manually with the same magic numbers/trade comments and either or both of Awesome or PoS will manage the trades.

In the global basket settings trading option, if the Alltradesbelongtobasket is set to off/false. Should it still close all the trades at the basketCashTakeProfit? Only ask as I turned that to false but it didn't close at the £5 I thought it would. Maybe I've misunderstood?

So to have PoS manage my trades, I need to set the TF to 'true', making PoS entering trades on his [her?] own as well.
Here it's getting interesting, instead of the D1 chart, it enters recovery orders like it is attached to the D1 chart. It is giving it the assigned magic-#, and the right comment as well, but the recoveryorders it enters are duplicating the H1 TF recovery [see below].

PoS does what she is programmed to do. She cannot do what you want her to do unless she is programmed to do it. It could be that she isn't.

I love the idea behind PoS!

For instance GBPCAD, price tried to break out of 'the H1 zone' twice now, to no avail.
Both times the recovery stepped in, and closed the baskets with good profit, and setting up the trade again with a new pending order.

One time it will break through, and hit the jackpot.

The H4 is still alive and kicking, the D1 waiting for the big one.
I have set the GTWV-EA to handle the D1 only, with stacking along the way.
Looking forward to make a post about that one..

There goes the profit.
The spike after the rate hike took out the protected H4 position with slippage of over 200 pips....

Hello,

I'm testing the M1 settings (great so far, but not when it goes in recovery) , but when I set SL to any value other than zero or set UseSixthForStopLoss to 'ture' the EA opens pending orders and then delete them.
