This is what I am trying these sets for .. to see what happens. Although the recovery option doesn't have much to do with it as using the symbol close is pretty much the same thing. Just not differentiating between 1 trade being open or 5 etc that's all. With this particular set for example the question is how often will a pair go 500+pips outside of its yearly range without retracing 50% + £5 to get closed? And if this happens regularly then what I am I going to do to do about it
You'll notice the similar set in our basket forward test. Where I am comparing H1 with and without Superslope. I did not expect without to stay ahead for long but right now it is and I am interested to see how this progresses.
Being able to test all the possibilities with this EA is already making me question things I have relied on and that have been successful in my manual trading. And that is a very helpful aspect to all this. It is good to question things even when they are working!
