I have it set to 10% as I'm using on a small live account, but it seems to be kicking in at about 1%.
Has anyone else experienced this.

Here's the setfile I'm using.

I think I might have figured out my problem. I had all trades basket trading set to true and 10%
Up in my trade1 basket I had set to false but the value was set to 1%

Looking at code (mostly greek to me) it seems that if only 1 time frame is trading it takes value for all trade percent closure as equal to tradetf1 percent closure. So seems that was overriding all trades.

I've changed tradetf1 basket to 10% even though it's on false. See if that does it.

Steve,

Is it possible to make the "fill the gap input: market distance pips" depending on the width between the 6th lines for a pair instead of a fixed number?

For example, on the H4 chart USDCHF has a 6th distance of 153 pips, where GBPJPY has a 6th distance of 467 pips.
Right now, both use the same "market distance pips".
When these pair turn against the position after triggering the initial trade, and go all the way to PH/ PL, USDCHF will have 1 or 2 recoverytrades where GBPJPY has entered 8 or even 9 already.
I think the sweet spot will be somewhere in between.

If it is hard to do, or you don't see the benefit, I can put the pairs in 3 groups according to 6th distance, and put each group on their own version of PoS with different settings in the "market distance pips".

I really love this EA/ way of trading, right now I'm up 32% for the month of september on my live CENT account. If I ever grow up and will be able to play with the big boys, I will lower the dollup from 0.01/$2.000 to 0.01/$3.000 of higher to get a more realistic return.

I was thinking the same but wanted to write that the fill the gap function could be based on the ATR grid function from the dotty family instead.

I also like to use it on indices and saw the same happening. The distance should be made dynamic some how.

I like your grouping idea with separate EA as a work around :good:

Gertje and 1Direction, V 1f attached has the features you requested. Scroll down the the fill the gaps inputs to find the new ones - I am pretty sure you will understand them.

Test them out and confirm they are working as expected please, and confirm this before I add to the user guide and upload to post 1.

1Direction, the atr calculation is done on each of the individual time frames. It is a simple matter to convert the code if all you really need is one overall time frame.

Read the effing manual, ok?

Afterprime is the official SHF broker. Read about them at https://www.stevehopwoodforex.com/phpBB3/viewtopic.php?p=175790#p175790.

I still suffer from OCCD. Good thing, really.

Anyone here feeling generous? My paypal account is always in the market for a tiny donation. pianodoodler@hotmail.com is the account.
