To anyone using the EA, please read and understand the original rules beforehand so you can verify it's taking the same trades where you would if you were trading the ShelleyJem system manually. If it takes a trade which you may think is incorrect post up here and I can verify if it took the trade correctly or not.

I am new around this thread/board, but spent a long time working with NB on Forex Factory and sharing ideas.

I just wanted to say thanks to Steve for all the hard work he puts in.

How you are able to do it all, coding like three+ different EAs at a time while you have people constantly changing things or using the EAs when they don't even understand the methodology, is beyond me. You are amazing Steve!

Thank you so much for all your hard work. If you were my employee I would give a bonus and some vacation time. It would be well earned- deserved. You are great at translating all the different ideas us traders have on a daily basis into code quickly.

I believe that without all your hard work the evolution and adaptation of 10.2 would be a much slower process. In the span of... weeks we have gone from original concept to basket trading and tweaking for entries. NB gave us a powerful tool and we were able to quickly convert it into a profitable trading system.

Gary is an invaluable treasure. I decided the posts were cluttering the place up and were of no relevance to anyone else. Removing them was just a bit of housekeeping. This one will vanish once you have had time to read it.

I think there is a mismatch in ATR parameter

You set xi_ATR.Period = 20 instead of 100 like all i can see in indicator and also in your NB 10.2 EA

I took the values out of whatever version of the indi I had downloaded at the time. If anyone can confirm the correct value for this variable, I will correct the wrong one.

I fired up SJ (set to trade 24 hours, otherwise OOTB) at 0936 GMT yesterday on Cowboy IBFX. It immediately took the GU and GJ shorts that some of you got earlier. But this was way too late, long after the H4 MA5.1 cross, and price was already testing the lower H1 TMA band. Of course it reversed from there.

I fired up SJ (set to trade 24 hours, otherwise OOTB) at 0936 GMT yesterday on Cowboy IBFX. It immediately took the GU and GJ shorts that some of you got earlier. But this was way too late, long after the H4 MA5.1 cross, and price was already testing the lower H1 TMA band. Of course it reversed from there.

by default, parameter MaLookBackBars=2 so looking for 2 H4 bars back, so it could be 8 hours back.
You can set it to 1 and may be we need a different MA lookup TF.

When price is at top TMA and above the 5.1 MA we trigger when price TOUCHES the 5.1 MA. If the conditions have been met (ie top tma, below 5.1 MA) before you switch the indicator on it will still trigger now which it shouldn't do.

However I think this is what Steve is talking about here:

I keep forgetting to mention, folks, that the post-closure sleep function is disabled whilst we check the bot is working as intended.

This means that SJ will immediately open a fresh basket if trading conditions are still in place. I will enable the snooze function in time for Monday.

Since the rules are scattered everywhere, it would be nice if it would be consolidated to a one single word format. I would prepare trading the SJ manually for the meantime to understand how it works. Only then I would be able to effectively use the EA as intended.
