Rule 3?

Important alignments with CJ's diagram:

1. A B D
2. initial w/ m and B
3 C lower high/low than B - ideally but not always?

This is not a suggested rule just my personal preference from what I have learned so far.

Ideally I am looking for entry around/after D and only in the direction of PeakHiLo to have more chance of being on the right side in case I have got things wrong. Some people will prefer trading both ways within the whole pattern and others the break out from it. I don't think there is any right or wrong here just whatever fits with your trading style and risk management and enables you to bank pips.

That's all from me for now. I've really enjoyed this exercise and feel my own trading has taken a big step forwards these past few weeks. Will read any feedback with interest and have lots more practice ahead. There are some great minds in this thread and look forwards to learning more from you all

This is the reason I am saying I will look for entries back into the higher direction from D as I feel that is the safest point based on what I have learnt so far... (so now G I K in this example give me opportunities to get back in long)

Hi,

I've currently purchased the DFC Basic course and am working my way through the videos (and very slowly seeing the light). I'm also keeping an eye on this excellent forum and have read quite a few posts from the start and the end. I notice mention of an A-K labelling system but don't know what this means. Could anyone kindly point me to its source, please?

Must have missed it - I've also been looking at BARF patterns, the Peaky system, etc. - so perhaps need to slow down and focus on just this thread and the DFC videos.
