One for the mathematicians to check for me. bool HaveWeReachedFullBasketTP() has this forumla:
BasketProfitTarget = (AccountBalance() * BasketCashPercentageTarget) / 100;

BasketCashPercentageTarget is an extern double. Is my formula correct?

Hi Steve.

If BasketCashPercentageTarget is something like 5.0, your formula is correct.

If BasketCashPercentageTarget is something like 0.05, it should IMHO be
BasketProfitTarget = (AccountBalance() * BasketCashPercentageTarget)

EDIT. I could have checked the inputs before writing. The formula is correct.

Thanks for checking guys. I'll keep running sims on my end with different settings to try and isolate problem. In the meantime I'll use MPTM for basket closure.
As mentioned before...can't complain about the results. Thanks for all your efforts.

Results are great indeed.
In the previous three weeks I made;
2.469
6.271 (the GBPJPY basket closed with big $$$)
2.196

Last week, the 2.196 was purely closing some recoverytrades before the weekend.
None of the trades had really reached TP yet.
Floating profit loss is between 1-10%, with some spikes.

Below I will post screenshots of the weekendsituation, note the open profit in GBPCAD and GBPCHF during these 3 weeks.
This part is the hardest to handle, sitting on my hands while 300 pips disappear with just a slight hope/ thrust that EVENTUALLY It will come back....

I know your pain. Remember my love of Masterly British Understatement? Boy oh boy, but EVENTUALLY can take a while to arrive.

This is definitely not one to trade on the wrong side of the high swap pairs.

Last week I went from floating $1.500 positive to $12.000 negative, there goes abandoning basket TP....
Curious when stuff turns around.

Friday I manually closed USDCAD, to get it off the table.
It has been the only closed trade last week.

For anyone following me, I have 3 instances of PoS running with 100, 150 and 200 marketdistancepips, depending on their 6-th distance.
The 100 MDP has dollup 0.01/$1.000
The 150 MDP has dollup 0.01/$1.500
The 200 MDP has dollup 0.01/$2.000

All this to manage risk, and have decent returns.
It's a thin line to balance upon.

This USDCAD trade is a textbook trade, according to this strategy.
Once it triggered NEARLY A MONTH AGO on the 25th of september, it never went in DD but stayed in floating profit.
A few times it nearly went to TP, reason for me to close it at this point.
Of course it will scream upwards mondaymorning....

I don't know about the ATR bit, the 6th feature causes havoc on the account. Even when disabled, it keeps opening new orders at the same price level over and over again.


Maybe 1Direction can tell about the ATR feature?

I had forgotten to multiply the sixths calculation to make MarketDistance into the full pips value that is used in the distance between trades calculation.

I have altered the code that checks for an existing order so that it is more like the successful code in Candle Power. Let me know if it is still not working properly.

I had great success with PoS version 1e during the last couple of months, the one which is still in the first post.
However, since the beginning of October I was struggling with the new version 1f to get it work properly. The main issue was that, on one hand it fixed the multiple entries issue from 1e, but on the other side the recovery trades weren't working correctly anymore compared to the previous version.
After some headaches going through the code and formula validations, I found a potential error in the DoesStopOrderExist function. The pips calculations should be changed as below in the print, as "price" isn't the current market price, but instead the price of already open order + market distance pips. In this case the results were always the same = no pendings ...

Steve, If your ok with that, I am attaching here a version 1g with my suggested fix. It's tested and the recovery trades are working now correctly. I tested also market distance pips using one sixth for recovery trades and it seems also ok now. ATR I can't confirm yet. Please have a look ...
